‘Lost’ star Terry O’Quinn is re-teaming with his old boss J.J. Abrams as he lands a role on the upcoming drama Castle Rock, based on the stories of Stephen King.

Set in the Stephen King multiverse, ‘Castle Rock’ is a psychological/horror series which combines the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of King’s best-loved works, weaving an epic saga of darkness and light, played out on a few square miles of Maine woodland.

O’Quinn is set to play Dale Lacy, a man described as a pillar of the Castle Rock community. He joins previously announced castmates André Holland (‘Moonlight’, ‘The Knick’, ‘American Horror Story: Roanoke’), Melanie Lynskey (‘Girlboss’, ‘Two and a Half Men’), Sissy Spacek (‘Carrie’), Jane Levy (‘Shameless US’, ‘Suburgatory’), Scott Glenn (‘Daredevil’, ‘The Leftovers’) and Bill Skarsgård (‘Hemlock Grove’, ‘It’).

Terry O’Quinn is probably best known for his role as John Locke in ‘Lost’ but has popped up in numerous tv shows including ‘The West Wing’, ‘Falling Skies’, ‘Hawaii Five-0’ and ‘The Blacklist: Redemption’. He also appeared in ‘Alias’, making this the 3rd time he’s worked with J.J. Abrams on a project.

Rather than following one single King novel, ‘Castle Rock’ is an original suspense/thriller which reimagines the themes and worlds uniting the entire King canon, while brushing up against some of his most iconic and beloved stories.

Sam Shaw (‘Masters of Sex’, ‘Manhattan’) & Dustin Thomason (‘Lie to Me’, ‘Manhattan’) are developing the series through Bad Robot Productions for Hulu in the US, and are exec producing alongside J.J. Abrams, Ben Stephenson, and Liz Glotzer.

Castle Rock does not yet have an air date in the US, so it’s a little early for a UK pickup. We’ll let you know when we hear more!
