Sam Palladio Returns To ‘Humans’ For Season 3

Actor/musician Sam Palladio has announced he will be returning to hang out with the synths in Season 3 of Humans, which arrives on Channel 4 in 2018.

Sam plays Ed, the seaside café owner who employs Mia, under the guise of synth Anita, to help out for a few hours a day. The two become close as Ed discovers Mia’s true identity, and that she is actually sentient.

The announcement came when Sam posted the following on Instagram:

Along with Gemma Chan, Sam joins Emily Berrington, Ivanno Jeremiah, Tom Goodman-Hill, and Katherine Parkinson, along with new cast member Mark Bonnar (‘Catastrophe’, ‘Apple Tree Yard’) who plays Neil Sommer, a charming scientist who develops a personal connection with Laura.

‘Humans’ Season 3 starts one year after the dawn of consciousness, as a decimated and oppressed Synth population fights to survive in a world that hates and fears them. In a divided Britain, Synths and Humans struggle to broker an uneasy peace, but when fractures within the Synth community itself start to appear, all hope of stability is threatened.

Set against the maelstrom of political chaos, the ethical complexities of the dawn of a new species play out across a thrilling multi-stranded narrative. As the synth family, Mia (Chan), Niska (Berrington) and Max (Jeremiah) continue to battle for their right to survival, Joe (Goodman-Hill) Laura (Parkinson) and their children Mattie (Lucy Carless), Toby (Theo Stevenson) and Sophie (Pixie Davies) struggle to come to terms with the cataclysmic events of the last series and their deeply polarised views on the implications of the singularity.

Humans‘ Season 3 is expected to arrive on Channel 4 in Spring/Summer 2018.
