Amazon’s ‘Bosch’ Season 4 Gets April UK Air Date, New Trailer, & Season 5 Renewal!
Once again, Amazon’s longest running drama ‘Bosch‘ has been given a series renewal before the new season has even aired.
Season 4 of the detective drama based on the best selling novels from Michael Connelly is due to land Friday, 13th April 2018, and sees Titus Welliver (‘Sons of Anarchy’, ‘Lost’), return as an LAPD homicide detective Bosch, once again digging through the seedy underbelly of Tinseltown.
“As Amazon Prime Video’s longest-running one-hour series, Bosch has long been a cornerstone of our scripted programming, and Prime members consistently clamour for more,” comments Sharon Tal Yguado, Head of Scripted Series, Amazon Studios. “We are excited to give them another season with Harry Bosch, Jerry Edgar, Grace Billets and the rest of the diverse characters that make up the Bosch universe.”
Alongside Welliver, Jamie Hector returns as Jerry Edgar, Amy Aquino as Lt. Grace Billets, Madison Lintz as Maddie Bosch and Lance Reddick as Deputy Chief Irvin Irving.
Season 4 sees Bosch assigned to lead a task force to solve the murder of an attorney who is killed the day before he starts a civil rights trial against the LAPD. With the city threatening to riot, Bosch must pursue every lead, even if it turns the spotlight back on his own department. One murder intertwines with another, and Bosch must reconcile his past to find a justice that has long eluded him.
“I could not be prouder of the show we are making. ‘Bosch’ is entertaining and relevant to our world today,” adds Connelly. “On top of that we have a fantastic writing staff and the cast and crew are the best. We feel we are just hitting our stride. Season 4 is based on ‘Angels Flight’ and I don’t think we could have chosen a more timely story to tell.”
On top of the Season 5 renewal and Season 4 air date, it’s also been revealed that original showrunner Eric Overmyer, will be returning who was ‘Bosch’ as co-showrunner for Season 5. Overmyer was the sole showrunner on Seasons 1 to 3, but handed the reins over to Daniel Pyne for Season 4 when he left to take over Amazon’s ‘The Man In the High Castle’ Season 3 when Frank Spotnitz left due to “creative differences. Pyne will stay on ‘Bosch’ as co-showrunner with Overmyer.
‘Bosch‘ Season 4 comes to Amazon Prime UK on Friday, 13th April 2018.
