Strike Back Renewed For 7th Season

Strike Back will be striking back again for a 7th Season it has been announced.

The show made its return to our screens last year with ‘Strike Back: Retribution’ featuring a whole new cast replacing the MIA Stonebridge (Philip Winchester) and Scott (Sullivan Stapleton). Sergeant ‘Mac’ McAllister (Warren Brown – ‘Luther’) formed part of the new unit along with Sergeant Samuel Wyatt (Daniel MacPherson – ‘The Shannara Chronicles’, ‘APB’, ‘The Bill’), Natalie Roberts (Roxanne McKee – ‘Game of Thrones’, ‘Hollyoaks’), and Gracie Novin (Alin Sumarwata – ‘Neighbours’, ‘Home and Away’).

The series is a co-production between Sky in the UK and Cinemax in the US, and is apparently going down well on both sides of the Atlantic. “The rebirth of Strike Back has reestablished Cinemax as a destination for adrenalized, entertaining action series,” commented Kary Antholis, president, HBO Miniseries and Cinemax Programming. “We are delighted to offer Section 20 the opportunity to continue saving the world from mayhem and destruction.”

There aren’t any details at the point regarding plot or cast for the new season, but filming is due to start on new episodes later in 2018.

Strike Back: Retribution‘ can currently be found on Sky On Demand in the UK.
