Netflix has releases a trailer for upcoming genre-blending psychological thriller ‘In the Shadow of the Moon’, which stars ‘Narcos’ Boyd Holbrook, ‘The Last Man on Earth’s Cleopatra Coleman, with ‘Dexter’s Michael C. Hall, and premieres 27th September 2019.
In 1988, Philadelphia police officer Thomas Lockhart (Holbrook), hungry to become a detective, begins tracking a serial killer who mysteriously resurfaces every nine years. But when the killer’s crimes begin to defy all scientific explanation, Locke’s obsession with finding the truth threatens to destroy his career, his family, and possibly his sanity.
Holbrook you will know as Steve Murphy in Netflix series ‘Narcos’, and has also starred in the movies ‘Logan’ and ‘The Predator’. Michael C. Hall recently starred in Netflix drama ‘Safe’, but is, of course, best know for his roles in ‘Dexter’ and HBO’s ‘Six Feet Under’. Cleopatra Coleman recently appeared as Erica in ‘The Last Man on Earth’, along with the tv shows ‘White Famous’ and ‘Now Apocalypse’. She is an Australian actress, so naturally, has also appeared in ‘Neighbours’.
The film is directed by ‘Hap and Leonard’ creator Jim Mickle, and produced by Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Rian Cahill for Automatik, Ben Pugh for 42, Linda Moran and Jim Mickle for Nightshade.
‘In the Shadow of the Moon’ premieres on Netflix UK and worldwide on Friday, 27th September 2019.
