After various teasers over the past few weeks, Netflix has finally released the full official 2 min+ trailer for El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie which premieres Friday, 11th October 2019.

The film sees Aaron Paul reprise his Emmy-winning role as Jesse Pinkman, and picks up moments after the series finale of ‘Breaking Bad’. Whilst the exact plot details have been kept under wraps, the strapline reads “The only way forward is to leave his past behind.”

When we last saw Pinkman in the ‘Breaking Bad’ finale, he was rescued from the Aryan Brotherhood gang by Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and escaped to parts unknown. In the wake of his dramatic escape from captivity, Jesse must come to terms with his past in order to forge some kind of future. It is unclear if the film will, somehow, manage to slip in a reunion with Cranston, maybe in flashback, but fans can live in hope!

In this full trailer, we see Jesse fleeing the Aryan compound as he finds somewhere to lie low. News reports have investigators searching for him as a “person of interest who fled the scene.” Scared, scarred, battered and bruised, Jessie needs help, which appears in the form of Skinny Pete (Charles Edward Baker), who we saw in a previous trailer being interrogated by the cops, and another man who appears to be his other cohort, Badger (Matthew Lee Jones). The trailer ends with Jesse face-to-face with an unseen man who asks “You ready?”, to which he replies “Yeah”…

For those of you missing Aaron Paul, this movie will hopefully help tide you over until next year when he appears in his new gig on the 3rd Season of ‘Westworld’.

‘El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie’ comes from original show creator Vice Gilligan, who both wrote and directed the film. Mark Johnson, Melissa Bernstein, Charles Newirth, Diane Mercer and Aaron Paul produce, in association with Sony Pictures Television.

El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie‘ premieres Friday, 11th October 2019 on Netflix UK and worldwide.
