Amazon Releases Trailer For Sci-Fi Series ‘Tales From the Loop’ Coming April 2020

by Dave Elliott

Amazon has released a trailer and stunning key art for upcoming sci-fi series Tales From the Loop, which premieres on the streaming service on Friday, 3rd April 2020.

Created and written by Nathaniel Halpern (‘Legion’, ‘Outcast’), and exec producer Matt Reeves (‘Let Me In’, ‘The Batman’), based on the acclaimed art of Swedish artist Simon Stålenhag, ‘Tales from the Loop’ explores the town and people who live above “The Loop,” a machine built to unlock and explore the mysteries of the universe – making things possible that were previously relegated only to science fiction. In this fantastical mysterious town, poignant human tales are told by baring universal emotional experiences, while drawing on the intrigue of genre storytelling.

The series stars Rebecca Hall (‘Vicky Cristina Barcelona’, ‘The Town’), Paul Schneider (‘Parks and Recreation’), Daniel Zolghadri (‘Eighth Grade’), Duncan Joiner (‘Waco’) and Jonathan Pryce (‘The Two Popes’, ‘Game of Thrones’).

Tales from the Loop is from Fox21 Television Studios and Amazon Studios, in association with 6th & Idaho and Indio Studio. The series was created by Nathaniel Halpern, who wrote all eight episodes, and also serves as executive producer alongside Mark Romanek, Matt Reeves, Adam Kassan, Rafi Crohn, Mattias Montero, Samantha Taylor Pickett and Adam Berg.

Along with the trailer, Amazon has released three bits of key art for the visually stunning series, created by series co-executive producer Simon Stålenhag (‘Hotel Artemis’) whose work inspired the drama. If you’re a gamer and think this style looks familiar, he also provided the cover art for the game ‘No Man’s Sky’.

Tales From the Loop‘ premieres Friday, 3rd April 2020 on Amazon Prime in the UK and across 200 countries and territories worldwide.
