‘The Good Doctor’: Season 5 Gets October UK Premiere Date
‘The Good Doctor‘ is set to return to the UK this October for more good doctoring on Sky Witness and NOW.
From ‘House’ creator David Shore, the series stars Freddie Highmore as Dr. Shaun Murphy, a young surgeon with autism and savant syndrome, continues to use his extraordinary medical gifts at St. Bonaventure Hospital’s surgical unit. As his friendships deepen, Shaun continues to tackle the world of dating and romantic relationships, and work harder than he ever has before, navigating his environment to prove to his colleagues that his talents as a surgeon will save lives.
The 4th Season saw Murphy’s romantic relationship with Lea (Paige Spara) deepen, whilst he also had to face new responsibilities as a fourth-year resident when he was put in charge of supervising a new set of residents that tested him in ways he could not predict. Meanwhile, the team had to deal with the uncertainty and pressure that the COVID-19 pandemic brought to their hospital.
As we head into Season 5, Shaun and Lea’s upcoming engagement party has everyone in a festive mood. A young single mother learns her son may have contracted his cancer from a surprising source, whilst Mateo finds out if his previous issues in America will be resolved.
The drama stars Freddie Highmore as Dr. Shaun Murphy, Antonia Thomas as Dr. Claire Browne, Hill Harper as Dr. Marcus Andrews, Richard Schiff as Dr. Aaron Glassman, Christina Chang as Dr. Audrey Lim, Fiona Gubelmann as Dr. Morgan Reznick, Will Yun Lee as Dr. Alex Park and Paige Spara as Lea Dilallo.
The series is from Sony Pictures Television and ABC Signature. David Shore is the executive producer and showrunner.
