Sky Announces March 2022 Line-up With ‘Flash’, ‘Legends’, ‘Raised by Wolves’, ‘The Rising’, ‘The Vow’ & More!

Sky has announced the shows coming up in March across the broadcaster, from the return of the Arrowverse, to alien planets in ‘Raised by Wolves’, to the supernatural with Sky Original ‘The Rising’, and a return to the cult of Nxivm in ‘The Vow’, plus lots more! Here’s a selection of what to expect from across the Sky channels & NOW in March 2022.

The Rising (Sky Original) – Sky Max – Friday, 11th March 2022

Neve Kelly is dead. Understandably, she’s scared and confused by this new (non) existence, but moreover, when she realises she has been murdered, she’s furious. Determined to find her killer and get justice, she takes advantage of her new supernatural abilities to go where the police can’t and investigate her own death. In doing so, she uncovers deeply buried secrets and is forced to re-examine everything about her life and the people she cared about. This adaptation of the Belgian crime thriller Hotel Beau Séjour is the first series-produced entirely in-house from Sky Studios. Clara Rugaard (I Am Mother) stars as Neve, alongside newcomers Nenda Neururer and Solly McLeod.

Joe vs Carole – Peacock – 4th March 2022

Based on the story that gripped the world, the intense and infamous rivalry between big cat enthusiasts Joe “Exotic” Schreibvogel and Carole Baskin is relived in this scripted limited series starring SNL’s Kate McKinnon as Carole and John Cameron Mitchell as Joe Exotic. The story begins as Carole Baskin learns fellow exotic animal lover Joe Exotic is breeding and using his big cats for profit, and sets out to shut down his venture, inciting a quickly escalating rivalry. But Carole has a checkered past of her own and when the claws come out, Joe will stop at nothing to expose what he sees as her hypocrisy.

Raised by Wolves, Season 2 – Sky Atlantic – March 2022

Android partners Mother (Amanda Collin) and Father (Abubakar Salim), along with their brood of six human children, join a newly formed atheistic colony in Kepler 22 b’s mysterious tropical zone. But navigating this strange new society is only the start of their troubles as Mother’s “natural child” threatens to drive what little remains of the human race to extinction.

Bloods, Season 2 (Sky Original) – Sky Comedy – March 2022

BAFTA-nominated Samson Kayo and Golden Globe-nominated Jane Horrocks return as oddball dream team Wendy and Maleek, as we follow them and their paramedic colleagues in the life-saving world of a south London emergency service. Series two welcomes a new source of conflict for Wendy and Maleek this time around in the form of Wendy’s deeply irritating son, Spencer (Nathan Foad). Also joining the cast is Katherine Kelly (Innocent, Liar) as the ambulance station’s acting counsellor and a listening ear.

The Flash, Season 8 – Sky Max – March 2022

The Flash returns with a five-episode Armageddon “non-crossover” event (i.e. features characters from other shows, but is all contained within The Flash episodes.) When a powerful alien threat arrives on Earth under mysterious circumstances, Barry, Iris and the rest of Team Flash are pushed to their limits in a desperate battle to save the world. But with time running out and the fate of humanity at stake, Flash and his companions will also need to enlist the help of some old friends if the forces of good are to prevail.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Season 7 – Sky Max – March 2022

After saving 1925 Earth from an alien invasion (and getting married!), Legends co-captains Sara Lance and Ava Sharpe think they and their beloved crew can finally go home and relax. Too bad their time travel ship, the Waverider, gets blown up by a second Waverider… meaning the Legends are now trapped in 1925 Odessa, Texas. The only way to get home, and get payback on their mysterious new enemy, is to journey to New York City and find the forefather of time travel, Welsh inventor Dr Gwyn Davies. But with no Waverider, no way of knowing how they’re impacting the timeline, and a time-travelling foe hunting them, this will be the toughest mission yet for the Legends.

My Brilliant Friend, Season 3 – Sky Atlantic – March 2022

Based on Those Who Leave and Those Who Stay – the third novel in Elena Ferrante’s Neapolitan series – the critically acclaimed Italian drama series continues the story of feisty, rebellious Lina and her lifelong friend, the brilliant and bookish Elena. We pick things up with Lina, now separated from her husband, living with her young son in a new neighbourhood of Naples and working at a local factory. Elena has left Naples, earned a degree from an elite college, and published a novel, all of which has opened the doors to a new world of intellectual pursuits. As the two friends move into an era of rapid change in sexual politics and social norms, it’s a time of seemingly limitless possibilities. But will their friendship survive against this background of dramatic change?

Funeral for a Dog – Sky Atlantic – March 2022

When journalist Daniel tracks down acclaimed novelist Mark Svensson at his hideaway home in Italy, he is immediately drawn into the mystery of Mark, his eternal love Tuuli and Felix, Tuuli’s missing partner. Somebody, Somewhere – Sky Atlantic – March 2022

For all its vast plains and endless prairies, Kansas can feel confining for someone like Sam Miller. Inspired by the life of comedian and singer Bridget Everett, Sam (played by Everett) is a true Kansan on the surface, but, beneath it all, struggles to fit the hometown mould. As she grapples with loss and acceptance, singing is Sam’s saving grace and leads her on a journey to discover herself and a community of outsiders that don’t fit in but don’t give up.

The Vow, Season 2 – Sky Documentaries – March 2022

The hit docuseries returns for a second instalment with Oscar-nominated, Emmy-winning filmmakers Jehane Noujaim and Karim Amer (The Square, Control Room) after the success of the premiere season. The first series follows members who joined the self-improvement group NXIVM – whose leader was convicted of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and other crimes – to reveal the emotional toll of unfolding events on these individuals. The new episodes will follow Raniere into the courtroom after he was convicted on June 19, 2019, and share more stories from top members of the NXIVM cult and DOS, its secret master-slave group where women were allegedly subjected to sexual slavery.

Mother Teresa: For the Love of God? – Sky Documentaries – March 2022

Over three episodes, Mother Teresa: For the Love of God? takes viewers on a remarkable ride through the twists and turns of an improbable life, revealing the extraordinary truth about one of the most recognised yet enigmatic, controversial, and complex figures in contemporary history. Told through the multiple viewpoints from those who knew her best and drawing on archive and personal letters where we hear from Mother Teresa in her own words, this series tells the astonishing story of a latter-day Saint.

Anyone Can Sing – Sky Arts – March 2022

 

Six discordant participants are put through their paces as their voices are transformed from screeching in the shower to singing like a soprano, proving that all of us can hold a tune. The English National Opera’s world-class vocal coaches – Nicky Spence, Sarah Pring and Michael Harper – will mentor the would-be singers throughout the process, giving masterclasses on everything from vocal technique to stage presence and setting them a series of musical challenges with the help of singing superstars such as Katherine Jenkins to take their singing to the next level – all in the space of three months.

Other Shows & Films Coming To Sky in March 2022

On top of all that, Sky Documentaries has ‘Super Greed: The Fight for Football’, about the attempted formation of the European Super League; Sky Crime has two new true crime shows – ‘Murdered at First Sight’ which tells the shocking stories of people who were killed by someone they had never met before, and ‘Death on the Beach’ about the murder of Chrissie Annesley in 2015.

On Sky Cinema we have ‘Fast & Furious 9’ speeding onto the service, along with ‘Reminiscence’ starring Hugh Jackman, ‘Don’t Breathe 2’, horror film ‘Malignant’, and ‘People Just Do Nothing: Big in Japan’.

Whichever way you look at it, there should be something to catch your interest on Sky and NOW in March 2022.
