Sky Witness Picks Up ‘The Rookie: Feds’ To Air in February

Sky Witness has picked up The Rookie spin-off series The Rookie: Feds, which will air alongside the main show this February in the UK.

From the executive producers of the flagship series, ‘The Rookie: Feds’ stars Niecy Nash-Betts as Simone Clark, the oldest rookie in the FBI Academy. The spinoff was introduced as a two-part event during the current fourth season of “The Rookie,” where Officer John Nolan (Nathan Fillion) and the LA division of the FBI enlist the help of Simone Clark when one of her former students is a suspect in a terror attack.

Alongside Nash-Betts, the series also stars Frankie Faison (‘The Wire’, ‘Banshee’) as Christopher “Cutty” Clark, Simone’s father. Once an FBI agent himself, he was wrongfully convicted and spent eight years in prison before being exonerated; James Lesure (‘Las Vegas’, ‘Good Girls’) as Special Agent Carter Hope, a career FBI agent assigned to SSA Garza’s Special Investigative Unit. He serves as Simone’s training agent, and is usually annoyed by Simone’s more unorthodox methods; Britt Robertson (‘For the People’, ‘Under the Dome’) as Special Agent Laura Stensen, a former member of the FBI Behavioral Science Unit now assigned to SSA Garza’s Special Investigative Unit; Felix Solis (‘Ozark’, ‘Charmed’) as Supervisory Special Agent Matthew “Matt” Garza, the team leader of the newly formed Special Investigative Unit with the Los Angeles Field Office; And Kevin Zegers (‘Gossip Girl’, ‘Fear the Walking Dead’) as Special Agent Brendon Acres, Simone’s fellow graduate of the FBI Academy who’s also assigned to SSA Garza’s Special Investigative Unit.

The series comes from ‘The Rookie’ creator/EP, Alexi Hawley, and ‘The Rookie’ writer/EP, Terence Paul Winter. Mark Gordon, Niecy Nash-Betts, Nathan Fillion, Michelle Chapman, Bill Norcross and Corey Miller also exec produce. Whilst the show is on Disney-owned ABC in the USA, like the main series, Entertainment One (eOne) is the lead studio, so it doesn’t automatically get pulled onto Disney+ internationally, hence it appearing on Sky.

The Rookie: Feds‘ Season 1 will premiere alongside ‘The Rookie‘ Season 5 in February 2023 (exact day/time TBC) on Sky Witness in the UK. If you want to keep track of these or any other shows, you can add them via our Never Miss system, and you’ll be notified when it gets a UK premiere date.
