‘Love and Death’: ITVX Picks Up David E. Kelley Drama Starring Elizabeth Olsen
ITVX has picked up ‘Love & Death‘, an upcoming drama from David E. Kelley (‘Big Little Lies’, ‘Big Sky’, ‘The Undoing’) with a cast led by Elizabeth Olsen to air later this year it has been announced.
Based on the true story of Wylie, Texas housewife Candy Montgomery, ‘Love & Death’ follows two church-going couples, enjoying small-town family life in Texas… until somebody picks up an axe. The drama is inspired by the book Evidence Of Love: A True Story Of Passion And Death In The Suburbs and a collection of articles from the publication Texas Monthly.
The series stars Elizabeth Olsen (‘WandaVision’) as Candy alongside Jesse Plemons (‘Black Mirror’, ‘Breaking Bad’), Lily Rabe (‘The Undoing’, ‘The First Lady’), Patrick Fugit (‘Treadstone’, ‘Outcast’), Elizabeth Marvel (‘Unbelievable’, ‘Homeland’), Tom Pelphrey (‘Ozark’, ‘Banshee’), Keir Gilchrist (‘Atypical’), and Krysten Ritter (‘Jessica Jones’).
‘Love & Death’ comes from legendary screenwriter David E Kelley, the man behind recent hits ‘Big Little Lies’, ‘Big Sky’, and ‘The Undoing’. He was also the creator of ‘Boston Legal’ and ‘Ally McBeal’, along with co-creator of ‘Goliath’ and ‘Doogie Howser, M.D.’. Kelley writes the series and exec produces through his David E Kelley Productions. Lesli Linka Glatter (‘Mad Men’, ‘Homeland’) directs the first four and final episodes, and also exec produces.

Other exec producers are Nicole Kidman and Per Saari via Blossom Films; Scott Brown and Megan Creydt through Texas Monthly; Matthew Tinker; Michael Klick and Helen Verno.
