Netflix has released a trailer and announced an April premiere date for ‘Beef‘, a new dark comedy series starring ‘The Walking Dead’s Steven Yeun and actress/comedian Ali Wong.
‘Beef’ follows the aftermath of a road rage incident between two strangers. Danny Cho (Yeun), a failing contractor with a chip on his shoulder, goes head-to-head with Amy Lau (Wong), a self-made entrepreneur with a picturesque life. The increasing stakes of their feud unravel their lives and relationships in this darkly comedic and deeply moving series.
Alongside Yeun and Wong, the series stars Joseph Lee (George), Young Mazino (Paul), David Choe (Isaac), and Patti Yasutake (Fumi). They are joined by the recurring cast of Maria Bello (Jordan Forster), Ashley Park (Naomi), Justin H. Min (Edwin), Mia Serafino (Mia), Remy Holt (June), Andrew Santino (Michael), and Rek Lee (Bobby).
The ten-episode dark comedy is created by Lee Sung Jin (‘Dave’, ‘Girl Boss’, ‘Silicon Valley’), who also exec produces alongside Yeun, Wong and Jake Schreier. Matthew Medlin serves as producer, and A24 is the studio.
‘Beef‘ Season 1 premieres Thursday, 6th April 2023 on Netflix UK and worldwide.
