Netflix has hired a new employee, as a new trailer for the streaming service announces Arnold Schwarzenegger will take the role of “Chief Action Officer”… Which I’m sure has nothing to do with promoting his action-comedy series ‘FUBAR‘ which premieres this week!
From ‘Reacher’ showrunner Nick Santora, ‘FUBAR’ sees Schwarzenegger starring in his first-ever series as a CIA Operative on the verge of retirement who discovers a family secret. Forced to go back into the field for one last job, the action-comedy tackles universal family dynamics set against a global backdrop of spies, action and humour.
The entertaining trailer sees Schwarzenegger taking up his newly appointed Chief Action Officer role, as he asks for bigger explosions, and highlights a number of high-action series and films coming to Netflix over the next few months. These include ‘Extraction 2’ with Chris Hemsworth which premieres 16th June, ‘The Witcher‘ Season 3 which lands 29th June, Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan movie ‘Heart of Stone’ which premieres 11th August, Michelle Yeoh-led series ‘The Brothers Sun‘, and the film ‘Lift’ starring Kevin Hart, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Vincent D’Onofrio, both of which are “coming soon”. Bio’), Andy Buckley (‘The US Office’, ‘Avenue 5’), and Jay Baruchel (‘How to Train Your Dragon’, ‘The Moodys’).
The series has been created by Nick Santora, who also serves as Exec Producer and Showrunner. Santora is also behind Prime Video series ‘Reacher’, along with Quibi/Roku shows ‘The Fugitive’, and ‘Most Dangerous Game’.
‘FUBAR‘ premieres this Thursday, 25th May 2023 on Netflix UK and worldwide.
