Geektown Awards – Best Factual/Structured Reality/Entertainment Show 2023

by Dave Elliott

Happy New Year everyone! We return with some more categories from the Geektown Awards, and this time we’re looking away from dramas to Factual/Structured Reality/Entertainment Shows. We have various football shows, game shows, late-night entertainment, farming, music, and of course, those Traitors… Here are the nominees and winners.

Nominees: Beckham – Netflix; Clarkson’s Farm, Season 2 – Prime Video; Great British Bake Off – Channel 4; Is it Cake Too? – Netflix; Last Week Tonight With John Oliver – Sky Comedy; Late Night Lycett – Channel 4; Nevermind the Buzzcocks – Sky Max; Robbie Williams – Netflix; Taskmaster – Channel 4; The Last Leg – Channel 4; The Traitors – BBC One; Welcome To Wrexham – Disney+

Bronze: Clarkson’s Farm, Season 2 – Prime Video

Silver: The Great British Bake Off – Channel 4

Gold Winner: Taskmaster – Channel 4

It’s a lineup of the usual suspects in the top three places. Last year, Taskmaster and Bake Off drew for second place. This year, Taskmaster takes gold and puts Bake Off’s soggy bottom in silver. Love him or hate him, Clarkson brings up the rear taking bronze for Clarkson’s Farm. If you’re wondering where shows sat further down the list, Beckham came 4th, The Traitors landed 5th, and the excellent Welcome To Wrexham was in 6th place.
