There used to be an unwritten rule when it came to the awards. If ‘Doctor Who’ was in a category, it usually came top… But not the might of The Doctor or the finale of ‘Ghosts’ could stop the final season of ‘Happy Valley’ from taking the gold. This is a second gold this year Sally Wainwright’s brilliant crime drama, and it is well deserved, with epic performances across the board.
