Harry the alien returns

by Dave Elliott

Alan Tudyk returns to the UK this April, as Sky sets a premiere date for Resident Alien Season 3 on Sky Max and streaming service NOW.

Based on the Dark Horse comic from Peter Hogan and Stephen Parkhouse, ‘Resident Alien’ follows Harry, an alien (played by Alan Tudyk), who crash lands on Earth and passes himself off as a small-town human doctor. Arriving with a secret mission to kill all humans, Harry starts off living a simple life… but things get a bit rocky when he’s roped into solving a local murder and realizes he needs to assimilate into his new world. As he does so, he begins to wrestle with the moral dilemma of his mission and asks the big life questions like: “Are human beings worth saving?” and “Why do they fold their pizza before eating it?”

In Season 3, Harry is vowing to work with General McCallister (Linda Hamilton) to rid the Earth of the Grey aliens – a task made more difficult when he discovers that the Grey Hybrid Joseph (Enver Gjokaj) has taken a job in town as the new Deputy. Joseph isn’t Harry’s only obstacle – Harry struggles to balance business and his personal life when he falls in love for the first time.

Meanwhile, Asta (Sara Tomko) and D’arcy (Alice Wetterlund) move in together and struggle to discover their purpose in the world, Sheriff Mike (Corey Reynolds) and Deputy Liv (Elizabeth Bowen) continue their quest to find out who killed the Alien Tracker, and Ben (Levi Fiehler) and Kate (Meredith Garretson) are forced to deal with the subconscious repercussions of their alien abductions.

The series was adapted to television by executive producer Chris Sheridan (‘Family Guy’). Mike Richardson (‘Hellboy’) and Keith Goldberg (‘The Legend of Tarzan’) of Dark Horse Entertainment who are also executive producers, along with Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank of Amblin TV. Robbie Duncan McNeill executive produced and is producing director. UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group, produce the comedy in association with Amblin TV and Dark Horse Entertainment.

Resident Alien‘ Season 3 premieres Wednesday, 17th April 2024 at 9pm on Sky Max and streaming service NOW.
