Following the launch of ‘The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live’, on Sky and streaming service NOW in the UK, the broadcaster has confirmed that ‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol‘ (aka Season 2) will premiere in line with the US launch in September.
The first season, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, follows Dixon’s (Norman Reedus) departure from The Commonwealth as he washes ashore in France, raising the ire of a splinted but growing autocratic movement centred in Paris, and endangering a young boy at the heart of a benevolent religious movement.
Season two picks up where The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon left off, following fan-favourite characters Daryl Dixon and Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride). They both confront old demons while she fights to find her friend and he struggles with his decision to stay in France, causing tension at the Nest. Additionally, Genet (Anne Charrier)’s movement builds momentum, setting Pouvoir on a violent collision course with the Union of Hope in the fight for France’s future.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol stars Reedus, McBride, Clémence Poésy, Louis Puech Scigliuzzi, Laika Blanc Francard, Charrier, Romain Levi and Eriq Ebouaney.
“The launch of The Walking Dead on Sky and NOW this year has seen a huge number of people fall back in love with this action-packed, post-apocalyptic series, as well as new fans becoming immersed in the franchise,” said Lucy Criddle, Director of Acquisitions and Strategic Projects at Sky UK. “We know that our customers love the best of US content, which is why we’re delighted to be the exclusive UK home of Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol from September, and we’ll also have season one available in August.”
The series is executive produced by showrunner David Zabel, Scott M. Gimple, Reedus, McBride, Greg Nicotero, Angela Kang, Brian Bockrath, Daniel Percival, Jason Richman and Steve Squillante.
We don’t yet have the exact date of ‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon‘ Season 1 but it will come to Sky Max and streaming service NOW in the UK in August 2024.
Weirdly, as we know Sky are simulcasting ‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon‘ Season 2 in line with the USA, we do know that will premiere at 2am on Sunday, 30th September 2024 (and will likely be repeated in primetime) on Sky Max and NOW. Season 2 premieres Sunday, Sept. 29, at 9/8c on AMC & AMC+ in the USA.
