Hulu Renews ‘Paradise’ For Season 2

by Dave Elliott

Hulu has renewed Dan Fogelman’s (This Is Us, Only Murders In The Building) thriller series Paradise for a 2nd Season on the US streaming service.

‘Paradise’ is set in a serene community inhabited by some of the world’s most prominent individuals. But this tranquillity explodes when the President of the United States is shockingly murdered and a high-stakes investigation unfolds… Except… (without giving away the massive twist at the end of episode one) that’s really only the beginning of the shocks…

Sterling K. Brown (This Is Us, Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) plays Agent Xavier Collins, the Secret Service officer assigned to protect the president, whilst James Marsden (Dead to Me, Westworld) plays the President… Who appears a surprising amount in season one, despite being murdered in the opening few moments!

Season one also starred Julianne Nicholson (Mare of Easttown, Law & Order: Criminal Intent) as Samantha “Sinatra” Redmond, Sarah Shahi (Sex/Life, City on a Hill, Chicago Fire) as Dr. Gabriela Torabi,  Nicole Brydon Bloom (The Gilded Age) as Agent Jane Driscoll, Aliyah Mastin as Presley Collins, Xavier’s teenage daughter, and Percy Daggs IV (The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey) as James Collins, Xavier’s 10-year-old son.

The series comes from Dan Fogelman, and is executive produced by Fogelman, Brown, John Requa, Glenn Ficarra, John Hoberg, Jess Rosenthal, and Steve Beers. The series is a 20th Television production.

Paradise‘ Season 1 is currently airing weekly on Disney+ UK and on Hulu in the USA. It’s well worth a watch if you haven’t started it yet!
