‘Taskmaster’ Series 20 Contestants Revealed As Hit Comedy Celebrates 10th Anniversary

by Dave Elliott

Ania Magliano, Maisie Adam, Phil Ellis, Reece Shearsmith, and Sanjeev Bhaskar are gearing up to take on the almighty Taskmaster as the BAFTA and Rose d’Or-winning comedy juggernaut returns for its landmark 20th Season on Channel 4 later this year.

As the show marks its 10th anniversary on UK screens, Greg Davies and his tireless assistant Alex Horne are once again ready to put a new batch of brave comedians through a chaotic mix of ridiculous tasks, all in the name of absurd glory.

Taking their place in the Taskmaster house this year:

  • Ania Magliano (Live at the Apollo), a fast-rising star of the UK stand-up scene
  • Maisie Adam (A League Of Their Own), known for her sharp observational humour and energetic performances
  • Phil Ellis (Phil Ellis is Trying), an award-winning comic whose surreal style has earned him cult status
  • Reece Shearsmith (Inside No.9), the BAFTA-winning writer, actor, and master of the macabre
  • Sanjeev Bhaskar (Goodness Gracious Me), the beloved actor, writer, and presenter whose CV spans decades of iconic British comedy

With such a mix of talents, from sketch legends to stand-up darlings, Season 20 promises even more ingenious chaos, creative problem-solving, and extremely silly attempts to win a golden head.

The new season was commissioned for Channel 4 by Head of Live Events Tom Beck. Executive producers include Alex Horne, Richard Allen-Turner, Rob Aslett, James Taylor, Jon Thoday, and Andy Devonshire (The Apprentice, The Great British Bake Off), who also directs. Andy Cartwright serves as Series Producer.

Taskmaster’ Season 20 will air later this year on Channel 4 and will be available to stream on Channel4.com. If you want to keep track of this or any other shows, you can add them via our Never Miss system, and you’ll be notified when it gets a UK premiere date. Visit Never Miss.
