Disney+ has confirmed that the Emmy®-winning comedy ‘Only Murders in the Building’ will be back this September, with the crime-solving trio of Steve Martin (Father of the Bride), Martin Short (Innerspace), and Selena Gomez (Selena + Chef) returning for another mystery-filled season.
This time, the investigation hits close to home as Charles, Oliver, and Mabel refuse to believe the suspicious death of their beloved doorman, Lester, was accidental. Their search for the truth leads them deep into the shadowy corners of New York and beyond, uncovering a dangerous web of secrets that connects powerful billionaires, old-school mobsters, and the mysterious residents of the Arconia.
Season five promises plenty of twists, with a star-studded cast including Michael Cyril Creighton (Dexter: New Blood), Meryl Streep (Big Little Lies), Da’Vine Joy Randolph (The Idol), Richard Kind (Curb Your Enthusiasm), Nathan Lane (The Producers), Bobby Cannavale (Boardwalk Empire), Renée Zellweger (What/If), Logan Lerman (Hunters), Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds), Téa Leoni (Madam Secretary), Keegan-Michael Key (Schmigadoon!), Beanie Feldstein (Impeachment: American Crime Story), Dianne Wiest (Life in Pieces), Jermaine Fowler (Coming 2 America), and more.
The series is created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman (Grace & Frankie, Looking), with Martin, Short, Gomez, Dan Fogelman (This Is Us), Jess Rosenthal, Ben Smith, and JJ Philbin serving as executive producers. It is produced by 20th Television, part of Disney Television Studios.
‘Only Murders in the Building’ Season 5 premieres Monday, 9th September 2025, with the first three episodes dropping at once, followed by weekly releases on Disney+ in the UK.
