Prime Video has dropped the first teaser for Fallout Season 2 during Gamescom Opening Night Live, giving fans a brutal glimpse of what’s next as the hit post-apocalyptic series heads to the Mojave wasteland and the neon ruins of New Vegas.

The footage confirms the return of Lucy, Maximus, and The Ghoul, played by Ella Purnell (Yellowjackets), Aaron Moten (Emancipation), and Walton Goggins (The White Lotus), and teases the arrival of a fan-favourite character from the games. Justin Theroux (The Leftovers) joins the cast as Robert House, the mysterious ruler of New Vegas. The trailer also gave fans their first on-screen glimpse of a Deathclaw, one of the Fallout universe’s most terrifying mutated monsters.

Speaking on stage at Gamescom in front of more than 5,000 attendees, Jonathan Nolan, Geneva Robertson-Dworet, and stars Ella Purnell and Aaron Moten gave insight into the stakes of Season 2 and revealed the teaser live. The crowd erupted as the Deathclaw appeared, and New Vegas lit up in post-nuclear glory.

Season 2 picks up after the explosive finale of the first season, continuing the story of survival in a world divided between the privileged dwellers of vaults and those forced to scrape by in the irradiated wasteland. Prime Video reports that the first season racked up over 100 million viewers worldwide, placing it in the service’s top three most-watched titles of all time.

The series also stars Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks), Moisés Arias (The King of Staten Island), and Frances Turner (The Boys). Behind the scenes, Fallout is produced by Kilter Films with Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy, Athena Wickham, Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Graham Wagner, Todd Howard, and James Altman serving as executive producers in partnership with Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks.

Fallout’ Season 2 premieres Wednesday, 17th December 2025, on Prime Video, with new episodes weekly until the finale on Wednesday, 4th February 2026.
