The social season is once again upon us, and whispers are already spreading through the ton. Netflix has officially confirmed that ‘Bridgerton’ will return in two parts, with Part 1 set to premiere in January and Part 2 following in February 2026. The fourth instalment of Shondaland’s lavish Regency drama will finally shine its spotlight on the free-spirited second Bridgerton son, Benedict, played by Luke Thompson (Bridgerton, Dunkirk).
The new season finds Benedict navigating a world where love, art, and society’s expectations collide. With his elder brothers already settled into domestic bliss, Benedict remains reluctant to follow suit — until a fateful encounter with a mysterious “Lady in Silver” at his mother’s masquerade ball. What begins as intrigue may soon unravel into the kind of grand romantic scandal that Lady Whistledown herself lives for.
The eight-episode season will once again be split into two halves: Part 1 (Episodes 401–404) lands in January 2026, while Part 2 (Episodes 405–408) will follow in February 2026. The show continues under the direction of Jess Brownell, with Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers, Tom Verica, and Chris Van Dusen executive producing for Shondaland.
Returning series regulars include Jonathan Bailey (Anthony Bridgerton), Simone Ashley (Kate Bridgerton), Nicola Coughlan (Penelope Bridgerton), Golda Rosheuvel (Queen Charlotte), Claudia Jessie (Eloise Bridgerton), Ruth Gemmell (Violet Bridgerton), Adjoa Andoh (Lady Danbury), and Luke Newton (Colin Bridgerton). They are joined by new faces Yerin Ha (Pachinko) as Sophie Baek, Katie Leung (Harry Potter) as Lady Araminta Gun, Michelle Mao (Tiny Beautiful Things) as Rosamund Li, and Isabella Wei (1899) as Posy Li.
Since its debut in 2020, ‘Bridgerton’ has become one of Netflix’s most beloved global franchises. Each season has broken viewing records and inspired an entire cultural phenomenon — from fashion and music trends to immersive events such as The Queen’s Ball: A Bridgerton Experience. The series also spawned the acclaimed prequel ‘Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story’, further expanding the world of the ton.
As Netflix teases, “The social season has begun again. What scandalous secrets await us this time?” Fans can expect more romance, witty repartee, and sumptuous costume design, as well as the distinctive narration of Julie Andrews as Lady Whistledown.
‘Bridgerton’ Season 4 Part 1 premieres Thursday, 29th January 2026, followed by Part 2 on Thursday, 26th February 2026, exclusively on Netflix.
