Disney+ has released the official trailer for Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette, a new FX limited series arriving this February. The nine-episode drama charts the whirlwind romance, intense media scrutiny, and ultimately tragic story of one of the most photographed couples of the late 20th century.

Starring Sarah Pidgeon as Carolyn Bessette and Paul Anthony Kelly as John F. Kennedy Jr., the series is the first instalment in Ryan Murphy’s new ‘Love Story’ anthology. It draws inspiration from Elizabeth Beller’s book Once Upon a Time: The Captivating Life of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, exploring how a deeply private relationship struggled to survive under relentless public attention.

The drama follows Kennedy Jr., often described as the closest thing America had to royalty, and Bessette, a fiercely independent fashion executive who rose through the ranks at Calvin Klein. Their instant, electric connection quickly became a national obsession, with paparazzi, headlines and expectations threatening to overwhelm their marriage.

The cast also includes Grace Gummer as Caroline Kennedy, Naomi Watts as Jackie Kennedy Onassis, Alessandro Nivola as Calvin Klein, Leila George as Kelly Klein, Sydney Lemmon as Lauren Bessette, and Constance Zimmer as Ann Marie Messina.

‘Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette’ is created by Connor Hines, with Ryan Murphy executive producing alongside Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson and others. The pilot episode is directed by Max Winkler, and the series is produced by 20th Television for FX.

Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette’ premieres Friday, 13th February 2026 on Disney+ in the UK. The series airs Thursday, February 12th 2026, on FX/Hulu in the USA.
