Apple TV has released the first trailer for ‘Imperfect Women’, a new psychological thriller led by Kerry Washington (Scandal) and Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid’s Tale), with the limited series set to launch globally this March.
Created for television by Annie Weisman (Physical), who also serves as showrunner, the eight-episode drama is based on the novel by Araminta Hall and centres on a crime that fractures a decades-long friendship between three women. As the investigation unfolds, buried secrets begin to surface, exposing how even the closest bonds can conceal uncomfortable truths.
Apple TV has debuted the first look trailer, teasing a tense and layered story exploring guilt and retribution, love and betrayal, and the compromises that quietly reshape lives.
Washington and Moss both star and executive produce the series. They are joined by a heavyweight ensemble including Kate Mara (House of Cards), Joel Kinnaman (For All Mankind), Corey Stoll (Billions), Leslie Odom Jr. (Hamilton), Audrey Zahn, Jill Wagner, Rome Flynn, Sheryl Lee Ralph (Abbott Elementary), Violette Linnz, Indiana Elle, Jackson Kelly, Keith Carradine (Dexter), Ana Ortiz (Ugly Betty), Wilson Bethel and Sherri Saum.
‘Imperfect Women’ is a co-production between 20th Television and Apple Studios. Weisman serves as creator, showrunner and executive producer, marking her latest collaboration with Apple TV following Physical. Moss and Lindsey McManus executive produce via Love & Squalor Pictures, while Washington executive produces under her Simpson Street banner alongside Pilar Savone. Author Hall and writer Kay Oyegun also serve as executive producers. Episodes one, four and five are directed and executive produced by Lesli Linka Glatter.
The first two episodes arrive together, with new instalments rolling out weekly thereafter.
‘Imperfect Women’ premieres Wednesday, 18th March 2026 on Apple TV.
