The multiverse is about to get very weird, and probably very broken, as ‘Stuart Fails To Save The Universe‘ lands on HBO Max this July in the UK and Ireland.
HBO Max has released the official teaser for the new Max Original comedy series, which was unveiled during the Warner Bros. Discovery Upfront presentation in New York. The ten-episode series comes from The Big Bang Theory veterans Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady, alongside Zak Penn, and follows the least likely man imaginable being handed the fate of reality itself. Naturally, it all goes extremely badly.
The series centres on Stuart Bloom, the comic book store owner from ‘The Big Bang Theory’, who accidentally kicks off a multiverse Armageddon after breaking a device built by Sheldon and Leonard. Tasked with restoring reality, Stuart sets off on a deeply unfortunate quest with his girlfriend Denise, geologist friend Bert, and quantum physicist, all-around pain in the ass Barry Kripke.
Along the way, the group encounters alternate-universe versions of familiar characters from ‘The Big Bang Theory’, suggesting there could be plenty of chaos, callbacks, and reality-bending nonsense for fans of the original sitcom.
The cast sees Kevin Sussman (The Big Bang Theory) return as Stuart, alongside Lauren Lapkus (Orange Is the New Black) as Denise, Brian Posehn (The Big Bang Theory) as Bert, and John Ross Bowie (The Big Bang Theory) as Barry Kripke.
‘Stuart Fails To Save The Universe’ is produced by Chuck Lorre Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. The series is created, written and executive produced by Chuck Lorre, Zak Penn and Bill Prady.
‘Stuart Fails To Save The Universe’ premieres Friday, 24th July 2026 on HBO Max in the UK and Ireland, with new episodes debuting weekly on Fridays.
