FINALLY! Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D. & Chicago Med Return To Sky Witness In the UK In August

UK One Chicago fans can finally stop checking down the back of the sofa. After an absurdly long and unexplained break, all three Chicago dramas are returning to Sky Witness and NOW in August to complete their current seasons.

The first halves of ‘Chicago Med‘ Season 11, ‘Chicago Fire‘ Season 14 and ‘Chicago P.D.‘ Season 13 began airing in the UK in November 2025. All three paused after episode seven and were expected to return in April, only to vanish from Sky’s schedule without any obvious explanation.

No announcement. No revised return date. Not even a note explaining that the schedulers had accidentally misplaced the entire city of Chicago.

Thankfully, the mystery has finally been solved, or at least partially solved, as all three shows will resume with episode eight before continuing weekly.

‘Chicago Med’ returns to Gaffney Chicago Medical Center, where the doctors and nurses continue dealing with life-or-death emergencies, complicated relationships and workplace problems that make the average Monday morning look positively relaxing.

Over at Firehouse 51, ‘Chicago Fire’ brings the firefighters and paramedics back into action as they face dangerous rescues, personal challenges and yet more reasons to run directly into burning buildings.

Meanwhile, ‘Chicago P.D.’ returns to the Intelligence Unit, with the detectives continuing to tackle some of the city’s most serious crimes while navigating plenty of complications within their own ranks.

The three interconnected dramas traditionally air together as a weekly block, making Sky’s extraordinarily long midseason break all the more baffling. US viewers finished these seasons months ago, while UK fans were left wondering whether the remaining episodes had simply fallen through a crack in the schedule.

There is still one small mystery to solve. Sky’s supplied listings currently place both ‘Chicago Fire’ and ‘Chicago P.D.’ at 9pm on Sky Witness. Unless the channel has discovered a way to broadcast two dramas simultaneously, one of those times appears to be a mistake. We will update the listings when Sky confirms the correct slot.

‘Chicago Med‘ Season 11, ‘Chicago Fire’ Season 14 and ‘Chicago P.D.‘ Season 13 return Friday, 14th August 2026 on Sky Witness and NOW. ‘Chicago Med‘ airs at 8pm, followed by ‘Chicago Fire’ at 9pm and ‘Chicago P.D.’ at 10pm. New episodes will air weekly.
