Set decades after the original series, ‘A Different World’ returns to the historic Hillman College with a fresh generation of students led by Maleah Joi Moon (Hell’s Kitchen) as Deborah Wayne, the free-spirited and rebellious youngest daughter of Dwayne and Whitley. Determined to escape her parents’ shadow and make her own mark, Deborah dives into the highs and lows of campus life with a new circle of friends. The sequel is helmed by Felicia Pride (Grey’s Anatomy, Bel-Air) and marks the return of original producer and director Debbie Allen, who directs the opening episode.
