Now coming in 2024 according to HBO website
It’s a shame it wasn’t left as a stand alone. I can’t see a second series with different actors (the others would be to old) being any good. The original was brilliant!
It seems sort of like the American Horror story notion of an anthology- completely new story and characters and setting , with only the name and production team remaining. That way you get two standalone stories.
But too old? They can’t have aged that much in a year and a bit, surely. Neither McConaughey nor Harrelson are “old”.
This ranks as possibly the best american tv show I have ever seen. I was blown away by the standard of acting, the storyline, the cinematography, direction and music. However, I remain curious about one point. The opening theme tune’ far from any road’ credits T Bone Burnett, I could not see any sign of The Handsome Family’ being credited on wh ose ‘Singing Bones’ album the song appears? Anyone tell me why that would be ?
Having dug around, it looks like the Handsome Family perform a song written by Burnett, and therefore the ownership is probably with Burnett, hence the credit. Usually there’s a “performed by” as well but maybe it isn’t required
This looks great and definitely worth a watch
