Serinda Swan Cast In ‘Marvel’s The Inhumans’ As Medusa

Another day, and another bit of Marvel’s Inhumans casting news. This time, it’s the announcement that Serinda Swan will be playing Medusa in the upcoming comic book drama.

Medusa is the Queen of the Inhumans and wife of Black Bolt – his most trusted advisor, a fiercely resilient warrior who has the ability to move and control her hair the way most people use their hands and fingers.

“Serinda empowers Medusa’s regal glory and still maintains a relatability that synced perfectly with the character,” commented Jeph Loeb, Head of Marvel Television and Executive Producer. “She is nothing short of wonderful.”

This isn’t Serinda’s first comic book role, as she previously played Zatanna Zatara in Smallville, but you may have seen her more recently in Graceland, or Chicago Fire where she had a recurring role as Brittany Baker.

“Serinda Swan brings a regal elegance,” added showrunner Scott Buck. “As well as a sense of great inner strength and fierce determination to the role of Medusa. I couldn’t be happier to have her as our Queen of Attilan.”

As we announced yesterday, Hell On Wheels’ Anson Mount has been cast in the lead as Black Bolt, the enigmatic, commanding King of the Inhumans, with a voice so powerful that the slightest whisper can destroy a city. They are both joined by Game Of Thrones’ Iwan Rheon, who has taken the part of Black Bolt’s brother Maximus (The Mad), a clever and charming Inhuman that is fiercely devoted to the people of Attilan, although he harbors an intense desire to wear the crown himself…

It’s still too early for a UK pick up for Marvel’s Inhumans, but we will let you know when we have more information.
