‘Empire’ Season 4 Gets October UK Premiere Date On 5Star

by Dave Elliott

Empire is back for its 4th Season on a new channel this October it has been announced. 5STAR picks up where E4 left off, as the acclaimed US musical drama returns for it’s UK premiere on Wednesday, 25th October 2017 at 10 pm.

Created by Lee Daniels and Danny Strong, the show rejoins the Lyon family and their media company, Empire Entertainment as they pick up the pieces following the (quite literally!) explosive end to the last season!

Five months after the explosion in Las Vegas, Cookie helps Lucious prepare to make his first appearance to celebrate Empire Entertainment’s 20th anniversary, but Lucious still has no memory of himself or his family. Each member of the Lyon clan has their own interest in Lucious recovering all of his mental faculties.

As a devastated Cookie struggles to rebuild her relationship with Lucious and help him regain full control of his memory, she keeps a close eye on Lucious’ new nurse, Claudia (guest star appearance by Demi Moore).

Forest Whitaker also guest stars this season in a multi-episode arc as “Uncle Eddie,” a charismatic music icon and bonafide hitmaker, who gave an unknown Lucious his first radio airplay. Decades later, Eddie steps up for Lucious at a critical moment during his rehabilitation, and a grateful Cookie invites him to produce a song for the companies 20th-anniversary celebrations.

Meanwhile, Andre is faced with a police investigation into Lucious’ accident, and Diana Du Bois continues to declare war on the Lyons.

This season will also see an appearance from Carlotta Brown – played by Queen Latifah in her role from Lee Daniels’s other musical series ‘Star’ – who makes a special appearance to visit Cookie and Lucious.

Empire‘ Season 4 airs Wednesday, 25th October 2017 at 10 pm on 5STAR.
