‘The X Files’ Season 11 Gets February Air Date On Channel 5

We’ve had a bit of a wait, but The X Files‘ Season 11 finally has a UK premiere date on Channel 5Monday, 5th February 2018 at 9pm.

The 10-episode season sees David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson return in their roles as iconic FBI Agents Mulder and Scully along with Mitch Pileggi as FBI Asst. Director Skinner. The series kicks off picking up after the events of last season’s cliff-hanger ending, as Mulder and Scully come to discover that they are not the only people who are engaged in a desperate search for their son, William.

The all-new episodes will feature guest-star appearances by Annabeth Gish, Robbie Amell, Lauren Ambrose, Karin Konoval, Barbara Hershey, Haley Joel Osment and William B. Davis, who reprises his role as “Cigarette Smoking Man.” Creator Chris Carter returns as exec producer alongside series veteran Glen Morgan.

As many of you have probably seen, Gillian Anderson announced Season 11 would be her last, saying it was time “to hang up Scully’s hat.”  Carter has since said “For me, ‘The X-Files’ is Mulder and Scully. I think if it were without Scully, I wouldn’t do it. That’s not my X-Files…” We’ll just gloss over those seasons when you did without them earlier in the run then shall we Chris?.. ;)

Whatever happens, it is sounding like this will probably be the last we’ll see of The X Files, at least in this form, so make sure you check out Channel 5 from Monday, 5th February 2018 at 9pm.
