Whilst new Sabrina might be doing great things for Netflix, they’ve also recruited the original, Melissa Joan Hart, for a brand new dramedy ‘No Good Nick‘, alongside Sean Astin, which will premiere in April 2019.
The series follows follows 13-year-old Nick, short for Nicole, who infiltrates a family with the intention to get revenge on them for unknowingly ruining her life. As she gets to know the family, she will find compassion for them and will struggle with whether or not she can ultimately go through with the plan.
Hart plays Liz, the competitive “career mother”, whilst Astin stars as the archetypical loveable, dorky “fun dad.” Siena Agudong (‘Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn’) stars as teen con artist Nick, with Kalama Epstein (‘The Fosters’) and Lauren Lindsey Donzis (‘Liv and Maddie’, ‘Ghosted’) rounding out the family.
Melissa Joan Hart was starring in the sitcom ‘Melissa & Joey’ up until 2015, but is, of course, best known for her role as ‘Sabrina The Teenage Witch’ in the 90’s version of the tv show. Sean Astin popped up most recently as the ever lovable Bob in the last season of Netflix’s ‘Stranger Things’. He’s also been busy with voice work, lending his vocal chords to ‘The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants’, ‘Justice League Action’ and ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’. He previously starred in the first season of ‘The Strain’, and, most famously, played Sam in the ‘Lord Of The Rings’ trilogy.
The series is executive produced and created by David H. Steinberg (‘American Pie 2’, ‘Slackers’, ‘Oishi: Demon Hunter’) and Keetgi Kogan (‘Yo-kai Watch’), and directed by Andy Fickman (‘She’s The Man’, ‘The Game Plan’).
‘No Good Nick’ premieres Monday, 15th April 2019 on Netflix UK and around the world. Find out more here.
