BBC Two Sets May UK Premiere Date For ‘Mayans MC’ Season 2
BBC Two revs up its engines as the announce ‘Mayans MC‘ returns to the UK for Season 2 this May.
Co-created by ‘Sons Of Anarchy’s Kurt Sutter and ex-biker-turned-filmmaker Elgin James, the show continues the saga in a post-Jax Teller world. Ezekiel “EZ” Reyes (JD Pardo) is a prospect in the Mayans M.C. charter on the Cali/Mexi border. Once the golden boy with the American Dream in his grasp, EZ is trying to reconcile with his brother “Angel” (Clayton Cardenas) while searching for the truth behind their mother’s death. Meanwhile, their father “Felipe” (Edward James Olmos) is struggling to lead his sons down a righteous path.
As we head into Season 2, EZ is coming up on finally getting rid of his “Prospect” tag, as the gang prepare to vote him in or out. Whilst his new sponsor, club president Bishop, is pleased with his work, a divide in the Reyes family is causing tension in the M.C. It also doesn’t help that the gang have uncovered an internal leak…
The series also stars Sarah Bolger (‘Into the Badlands’, ‘Once Upon a Time’), Michael Irby (‘SEAL Team’, ‘True Detective’, ‘Taken’), Carla Baratta, Antonio Jaramillo (‘Shades of Blue’, ‘Dallas’), Raoul Max Trujillo (‘Jamestown’, ‘The Blacklist’), Richard Cabral (‘Lethal Weapon’, ‘American Crime’), Danny Pino (‘Gone’, ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’) and Emilio Rivera (‘Sons of Anarchy’).
‘Mayans M.C.’ was co-created by Kurt Sutter and Elgin James. The series is executive produced by Sutter, James and Kevin Dowling. The 10-episode second season is produced by Fox 21 Television Studios and FX Productions. The series has also been renewed for a 3rd Season, albeit without Sutter’s involvement after he “ruffled a few mouse ears”, as he so wonderfully put it.
