Sky Atlantic Sets May UK Premiere Date For ‘Perry Mason’ Season 2

Sky Atlantic has set a May UK premiere date for Season 2 of Perry Mason, which sees Perry, Della, and Paul brace themselves for the murder trial of the century…

Based on the work of Erle Stanley Gardner, this drama series traces the origins of famed criminal defence lawyer Perry Mason (Matthew Rhys) in 1930s Los Angeles.

The second season picks up with Perry in the throes of the Los Angeles legal system during the height of the Great Depression. Alongside crackerjack assistant Della Street (Juliet Rylance) and hardboiled ex-cop Paul Drake (Chris Chalk), the former PI garners a reputation for taking on clients that few would dare to defend.

Months after the Dodson trial shook the city, Perry is readjusting to life as a civil attorney when a high-profile murder case brings him back into the fold. As the DA homes in on a pair of brothers from a desolate Hooverville, Perry is thrust into the centre of a vast conspiracy and forced to reckon with what it truly means to be guilty.

Alongside Matthew Rhys, Juliet Rylance, and Chris Chalk, season two also stars Shea Whigham, Eric Lange, Justin Kirk, Diarra Kilpatrick, Katherine Waterston, Hope Davis, Fabrizio Guido, Peter Mendoza, Mark O’Brien, Paul Raci, Jen Tullock, Jon Chaffin, Onahoua Rodriguez, Jee Young Han, Sean Astin, Tommy Dewey, and Wallace Langham.

The drama is exec produced by Jack Amiel, Michael Begler, Amanda Burrell, Robert Downey Jr., Susan Downey, Joe Horacek, Matthew Rhys, and Tim Van Patten. Regina Heyman is co-executive producer. ‘Perry Mason’ is based on the characters created by Erle Stanley Gardner.

Perry Mason‘ Season 2 premieres Tuesday, 2nd May 2023 at 10pm on Sky Atlantic.
