‘Then You Run’: Adaptation Of novel YOU by Zoran Drvenkar Gets Trailer & July Premiere On Sky/NOW
Sky has released a trailer for the darkly comic Sky Original thriller ‘Then You Run‘, which premieres this July on Sky Max and NOW, and follows a tight-knit group of friends on a summer road trip like no other.
Created for television by Ben Chanan (The Capture), based on the novel YOU by Zoran Drvenkar,?‘Then You Run’?follows four rebellious London teenagers on a city getaway to Rotterdam. The four friends embark on what should have been the perfect summer break which soon spirals into a dark and?perilous adventure. When their attempt to take on some of the most dangerous people in?Europe doesn’t quite go to plan, they find themselves on the run with three kilos of heroin, more questions than answers about Tara’s family, and a gang of deadly criminals tracking their every move.
This contemporary eight-part series includes a lead cast of rising stars including Leah McNamara?(Normal People) as Tara, Vivian?Oparah?(Rye Lane) as Stink, Yasmin Monet Prince (Hanna) as Ruth and newcomer Isidora?Fairhurst as Nessi.
‘Then You Run’ also features a stellar supporting cast, including Richard Coyle (Sabrina, The Fall), Famke Janssen (X-Men, Taken), Cillian O’Sullivan (Vikings), Francis Magee (Britannia), Darren Cahill (Brassic, Vikings) and Christian Rubeck (What Happened to Monday).
Hunting down Tara, Stink, Ruth and Nessi across Europe is Tara’s uncle Reagan (Coyle). Reagan is a notorious gangster, haunted by his past, who will stop at nothing to track down his missing cache of drugs.?But Reagan isn’t the only person they should fear – all the while a terrifying, mythical serial killer – known only as ‘The Traveller’ – draws closer on a collision course with them all…
The dark comedy-drama is written & created for television by Ben Chanan. Kara Manley and Serena Thompson are the Executive Producers for Sky Studios. The Producer is Derek Ritchie, with Karen Wilson and Katie McAleese as Executive Producers for Kudos, alongside Ben Chanan.
