The BBC has announced the additional cast who will be joining Jenna Coleman in crime thriller The Jetty from writer Cat Jones (Harlots, EastEnders, Waterloo Road) and producers Firebird Pictures.

In the four-part series, a fire tears through a holiday home in a scenic Lancashire lake town. Detective Ember Manning (Coleman) must work out how it connects to a podcast journalist investigating a missing persons cold case and an illicit ‘love’ triangle between a man in his twenties and two underage girls.

But as Ember gets close to the truth, it threatens to destroy her life – forcing her to re-evaluate everything she thought she knew about her past, present and the town she’s always called home.

As much a coming-of-age story as a detective thriller, The Jetty asks big questions about sexual morality, identity and memory, in the places that Me Too has left behind.

Jenna Coleman is joined across the series by Archie Renaux (Shadow and Bone, Morbius, Gold Digger), Laura Marcus (The Great Escaper, Bad Education, The Serpent Queen), Bo Bragason (The Ballad of Renegade Nell, The Radleys), Amelia Bullmore (Happy Valley, Vienna Blood, Gentleman Jack), Ruby Stokes (Lockwood & Co., Rocks, Una), Tom Glynn-Carney (House of the Dragon, Dunkirk, The King), Weruche Opia (High Desert, Slumberland, I May Destroy You), Matthew McNulty (The Rising, Domina, The Terror), Ralph Ineson (Nosferatu, The Witch, Green Knight), David Ajala (Star Trek: Discovery, Supergirl), Nina Barker-Francis (The Flash), Miya Ocego (Wreck, I Hate Suzie), Elliot Cowan (Fifteen-Love, The Crown), Shannon Watson (H.P. Lovecraft’s Witch House), Arthur Hughes (Then Barbara Met Alan, Help) and Dominic Coleman (Paddington, Trollied).

“I’m thrilled to have such an amazing cast join Jenna Coleman in The Jetty,” said Writer, Creator and Executive Producer, Cat Jones. “It’s been incredibly exciting to see my characters being brought to life by such a talented group of actors.”

The Jetty is produced by Firebird Pictures (Wilderness, Outrageous, Consent), one of BBC Studios’ owned production labels. It was written and created by Cat Jones. The director is Marialy Rivas (Young & Wild, Perry Mason, Princesita). The executive producers are Elizabeth Kilgarriff, Sarah Wyatt, Cat Jones, Marialy Rivas, Jenna Coleman and Jo McClellan for the BBC.

The Jetty‘ does not yet have a premiere date, but will air on the BBC. If you want to keep track of this or any other show, you can add them via our Never Miss system, and you’ll be notified when it gets a UK premiere date.
