‘The Paper‘, the highly anticipated mockumentary series from The Office (US) co-creator Greg Daniels and Nathan For You’s Michael Koman, has officially found a UK home. It’s coming exclusively to Sky and NOW this September.
The star-studded new series is led by Domhnall Gleeson (The Patient), Sabrina Impacciatore (The White Lotus), and Oscar Nuñez (The Office). It follows a documentary crew who once chronicled the day-to-day antics of Dunder Mifflin in The Office (US). This time, they’re turning their cameras on a historic Midwestern newspaper and the publisher fighting to revive it.
Katie Keenan, Sky’s Group Director of Acquisitions, commented:
“Our ambition to bring the best US content to Sky and NOW continues as we very excitingly have acquired The Paper from our partners at NBCU and Peacock. Fans of The Office can expect a fresh twist this September, as the original documentary crew turn their lens to the world of publishing.”
Also starring in the series are Chelsea Frei (The Moodys), Melvin Gregg (Nine Perfect Strangers), Gbemisola Ikumelo (Brain In Gear), Alex Edelman (Teenage Bounty Hunters), Ramona Young (Man Seeking Woman), and Tim Key (The Ballad of Wallis Island).
Created, written and executive produced by Greg Daniels through his Deedle-Dee Productions banner, and Michael Koman, the series also counts Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant, Howard Klein, Ben Silverman, and Banijay Americas among its executive producers. It hails from Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.
As part of the deal, Sky will also continue to offer access to all episodes of The Office (US) on Sky and NOW. Fans can binge the classic series before diving into this brand-new chapter in the mockumentary universe.
‘The Paper’ Season 1 premieres Thursday, 5th September 2025 on Sky and NOW. The series premieres September 4th, 2025, on Peacock in the USA.
