by Dave Elliott

Mayfair Witches Season 2 conjures up a UK premiere this July on BBC iPlayer and BBC One, continuing the dark and magical saga based on Anne Rice’s Lives of the Mayfair Witches.

The second season sees Rowan Mayfair (played by Alexandra Daddario [The White Lotus]) struggling to raise Lasher (Jack Huston [Boardwalk Empire]) as a child, only to be confronted by his freakish spurts of rapid growth, enormous appetite and prodigious strength. Young Lasher is no ordinary human child, and Rowan soon realises that his proximity is mysteriously supercharging her healing powers. Determined to use this gift for good, she takes a job at the Mayfair family’s hospital.

Meanwhile, Tessa’s sister Moira, whose special power is mind reading, arrives on the scene, holding Lasher responsible for Tessa’s death. Ciprien takes steps to prevent his memory from being erased again, but soon discovers the Talamasca have their own designs on both him and Lasher.

Joining Daddario and Huston in the cast are Harry Hamlin [L.A. Law], Tongayi Chirisa [Palm Springs] and Alyssa Jirrels [Boo, Bitch], along with additional appearances from Ben Feldman [Superstore], Ted Levine [The Silence of the Lambs] and Thora Birch [Ghost World], amongst others.

The series is executive produced by Mark Johnson, showrunner Esta Spalding, Tom Williams, Michelle Ashford, Christopher Rice and the late Anne Rice, and is produced by AMC Studios.

Mayfair Witches’ Season 2 premieres Monday, 28th July 2025 on BBC iPlayer, and will also air on BBC One at 23:10 (except Northern Ireland, Northern Ireland HD, Wales & Wales HD).
