Netflix is levelling up its anime and adult animation slate, revealing teasers, trailers and fresh details for some of its biggest genre titles. From video game legends to award-winning originals, the streamer is clearly staking its claim as the home of action-packed animated storytelling.

‘Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Deathwatch’ dropped its official teaser, a launch date of October, and casting news that Kirby Howell-Baptiste (The Good Place, Barry) will voice new agent Zinnia McKenna. The series comes from John Wick creator Derek Kolstad, with Liev Schreiber (Ray Donovan) voicing iconic stealth operative Sam Fisher. Ubisoft’s long-running video game franchise is making the leap to anime-styled action, and it looks intense.

Meanwhile, Devil May Cry fans have something to sharpen their swords for. Season 2 has been confirmed for 2026 with a new teaser showing off the battle between demon-hunting brothers Dante and Vergil. Produced by Adi Shankar (Castlevania) and animated by Studio Mir, the series is based on Capcom’s smash-hit video games.

Returning favourite ‘Blue Eye Samurai’ revealed a behind-the-scenes featurette and two new images as Season 2 begins production. The first season earned critical acclaim for its stunning visuals and layered storytelling, and creators Amber Noizumi and Michael Green (with executive producer Jane Wu) promise Mizu’s bloody journey is far from over.

Manga adaptation ‘Sakamoto Days’ is back with Part 2 of its first season. The mid-season trailer shows Sakamoto and Shin infiltrating the JCC as the Exams Arc kicks off, with new assassins, new allies and plenty of action. Episodes drop weekly on Netflix.

Lastly, god-versus-human slugfest ‘Record of Ragnarok’ returns this December for its third season. Expect more one-on-one divine duels as the score sits at 3-3 and humanity’s fate hangs in the balance.

Netflix has steadily grown into a powerhouse for anime and adult animation, with titles like Arcane, Castlevania: Nocturne, and Love, Death + Robots already fan favourites. With Magic: The Gathering and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 also on the horizon, it looks like the streamer has no intention of slowing down.

‘Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Deathwatch’ premieres Monday, 14th October 2025 on Netflix. ‘Devil May Cry’ Season 2 premieres in 2026 on Netflix. ‘Blue Eye Samurai’ Season 2 does not yet have a premiere date but will air on Netflix in the UK. ‘Sakamoto Days’ Part 2 is streaming weekly on Netflix. ‘Record of Ragnarok’ Season 3 premieres December 2025 on Netflix.
