Paramount+ UK has officially confirmed that ‘Y: Marshals’, the latest entry in Taylor Sheridan’s ever-expanding ‘Yellowstone’ universe, will stream in the UK in 2026. The series brings Luke Grimes (Yellowstone, The Magnificent Seven) back as Kayce Dutton, this time trading the sweeping plains of the family ranch for the badge of a U.S. Marshal in a gritty new story about law, loyalty, and the long shadow of the Dutton name.
Set after the events of ‘Yellowstone’, the series finds Kayce stepping away from ranch life and the volatile politics of the Dutton empire to join an elite unit of U.S. Marshals operating across the rough terrain of Montana. The official synopsis describes him as combining his skills as both cowboy and Navy SEAL to bring “range justice” to the frontier, while trying to balance family obligations with the emotional toll of life on the line. The move marks a major turning point for the character, long defined by his struggle to reconcile his violent past with his instinct to protect those around him.
The new series continues the grounded, character-driven approach that made ‘Yellowstone’ such a phenomenon. It promises to explore Kayce’s internal conflicts as deeply as the external threats he faces, the kind of morally complex storytelling that has become a hallmark of Sheridan’s shows. Expect wide horizons, tough choices, and the kind of slow-burn tension that turns family history into mythology.
Brecken Merrill returns as Kayce’s son Tate Dutton, now growing into his own amid the dangers of the family legacy. Gil Birmingham reprises his role as Thomas Rainwater, the powerful chief and casino magnate whose uneasy alliance with the Duttons has been one of the franchise’s most compelling threads, while Mo Brings Plenty is also back as his steadfast ally, Mo, continuing their partnership from the original series.
Joining the cast are several new faces who will form Kayce’s unit within the U.S. Marshals Service. Logan Marshall-Green (And Just Like That…, Quarry) plays Pete Calvin, a friend from Kayce’s military days who brings his own scars and sense of justice to the table. Arielle Kebbel (9-1-1, The Vampire Diaries) takes on the role of Belle, a capable and fiercely determined Marshal whose loyalty will be tested in the field. Ash Santos (American Horror Story: Apocalypse, Mayor of Kingstown) appears as Andrea, another member of the team, while Tatanka Means (Reservation Dogs, Outer Range) portrays Miles, a man whose knowledge of the land makes him indispensable to their missions. Brett Cullen (True Detective, Winning Time) rounds out the line-up as Harry Gifford, the seasoned head of the Montana division of the Marshals Service, who sees potential — and danger — in Kayce’s arrival.
In the United States, ‘Y: Marshals’ is set to debut as part of CBS’s 2026 midseason line-up, marking a rare crossover between Sheridan’s cable-bred storytelling and network television. For UK viewers, Paramount+ will be the home of the series, continuing its run as the streaming hub for all things Yellowstone.
The series is one of several spin-offs currently in the works. ‘The Madison’ will shift the action from the plains to Manhattan, following a wealthy New York family who relocate to rural Montana, while ‘The Dutton Ranch’ is expected to reunite Yellowstone stars Kelly Reilly (Beth), Cole Hauser (Rip), and Finn Little (Carter) in a direct continuation of the flagship story. Period prequels ‘1883’ and ‘1923’ have already explored the Duttons’ past, and ‘1944’ is said to continue that timeline, while a long-rumoured spin-off centred on Texas’ Four Sixes ranch (first introduced in Yellowstone’s later seasons) remains in development.
‘Y: Marshals’ looks set to carry the Dutton saga into a new frontier, swapping cattle drives and political feuds for federal badges and frontier justice. But if history has taught us anything about the Duttons, it’s that leaving the ranch doesn’t mean leaving trouble behind.
