‘Virgin River’ Season 7 Trailer Teases Honeymoon Bliss and Big Life Changes for Mel & Jack

by Dave Elliott

Netflix has released the official trailer for Virgin River Season 7, giving fans their first proper look at what’s next for Mel and Jack following their long-awaited wedding. The new season lands this March, and it looks set to lean hard into romance, fresh drama, and a few curveballs for the town’s ever-expanding community.

The trailer suggests Season 7 will explore the newlyweds settling into married life on the farm, embracing the honeymoon phase while dealing with the practical and emotional realities that come with it. Parenthood is clearly on the table too, hinting that Mel and Jack’s next chapter could be their biggest yet.

Showrunner Patrick Sean Smith has previously suggested the focus will stay firmly on emotional stakes rather than relationship jeopardy, allowing the couple to function as a solid unit while navigating new challenges together.

Season 7 also introduces several new faces to Virgin River. Sara Canning (The Vampire Diaries) joins as Victoria, a former police officer now working as a medical board investigator, whose arrival could spell trouble for Doc. Cody Kearsley (Riverdale) plays Clay, a rugged rodeo worker searching for the sister he lost contact with years ago, while Austin Nichols (One Tree Hill) appears as someone from Mel’s past.

Returning for the new season are Alexandra Breckenridge, Martin Henderson, Tim Matheson, Annette O’Toole, Colin Lawrence, Benjamin Hollingsworth, Zibby Allen, Sarah Dugdale, Marco Grazzini, Kai Bradbury, and Kandyse McClure, with the show continuing to balance multiple generations of love stories across the town.

The trailer also teases more time with Hope and Doc, Preacher and Kaia, and Lizzie and Denny, as ‘Virgin River’ continues to do what it does best. Warm-hearted romance, emotional complications, and community-driven drama. It is also set to return for Season 8.

Virgin River’ Season 7 premieres Thursday, 12th March 2026 on Netflix.
