July 2026 on Disney+ UK brings a major Marvel Animation return, a new Descendants adventure, more animated comedy, and a fascinating National Geographic trip back to one of history’s most infamous disasters. X-Men ’97 returns for season two, Descendants: Wicked Wonderland heads back down the rabbit hole, and King of the Hill is back with a new season.

There is also cinematic time-travel history in Pompeii: Out of Time with Tom Hiddleston, ocean adventure in Hammerhead Sharks Up Close with Bertie Gregory, and a new thriller in Furious starring Emmy Rossum.

X-Men ’97 (Season 2)

Streaming from Wednesday, 1st July 2026

Marvel Animation’s Emmy-nominated series returns for a second season, picking up with the heroic mutant team divided and scattered across different eras in time. As the X-Men struggle to find their way back home, danger grows in the 1990s, where suspicious new enemies and fresh waves of mutant intolerance rise in their absence. With nine episodes and returning voices including Ross Marquand as Professor X, Matthew Waterson as Magneto, Ray Chase as Cyclops, Jennifer Hale as Jean Grey, Alison Sealy-Smith as Storm, Cal Dodd as Wolverine, Lenore Zann as Rogue, and George Buza as Beast, season two looks set to continue the show’s impressive revival of classic mutant drama.

The Simpsons: Simpsley

Streaming from Friday, 3rd July 2026

This Disney+ exclusive episode puts a Springfield spin on stylish crime drama. When penniless con artist Marge Bouvier is sent to Italy to convince wealthy sap Seymour Skinner to come home, she finds herself tempted by the trappings of his affluent lifestyle. Expect glamorous settings, very questionable decision-making, and the usual Simpsons chaos in a slightly more sun-drenched package.

Hammerhead Sharks Up Close with Bertie Gregory

All episodes streaming from Sunday, 5th July 2026

Bertie Gregory heads to Mexico’s Pacific waters in search of one of the ocean’s most recognisable predators: the hammerhead shark. Once abundant in the region, hammerhead populations have sharply declined, making encounters increasingly rare. Working with leading shark scientists and local experts, Bertie investigates what is driving their disappearance and how protected waters could offer hope for the future. The journey builds towards a rare encounter that shines a light on the fragile future of one of the world’s most famous sharks.

Ms. X

Streaming from Wednesday, 8th July 2026

Melissa George stars in this fast-paced, female-led series as a suburban mum whose plan to frighten her cheating husband into staying faithful goes spectacularly, and accidentally, wrong. After teaming up with an old high school friend, what begins as a twisted bit of relationship revenge turns homicidal, dragging her into a criminal underworld where she finds herself caught between the cops, the cartel and a vicious PTA. The series also stars Dean O’Gorman and Simone Kessell.

Shifting Gears (Season 2)

Streaming from Wednesday, 8th July 2026

Tim Allen stars as Matt, a stubborn widower and owner of a classic car restoration shop whose carefully controlled life is thrown into chaos when his estranged daughter, played by Kat Dennings, and her children move into his home. As the series returns for season two, the real restoration is not just happening in the garage, but inside the family itself.

Rabbit Hole

Streaming from Monday, 13th July 2026

This 10-episode variety and lifestyle series brings together major creators from YouTube and TikTok, including Dan Rhodes, ZHC, Mackenzie Turner, and AJ & Big Justice. Expect a creator-led mix of entertainment, challenges, personality-driven segments and internet culture, built for an audience that already lives halfway down the algorithmic rabbit hole.

R.J. Decker (Season 1)

Scott Speedman stars as disgraced newspaper photographer and ex-con R.J. Decker, who attempts to rebuild his life as a private investigator in South Florida. Sun, crime and weird Florida energy, basically the holy trinity of trouble.

The Cult of NatureBoy

Streaming from Wednesday, 15th July 2026

This documentary traces the rise of Eligio Bishop, also known as NatureBoy, the leader of Carbon Nation. Beginning in 2016, Bishop used social media to attract young followers to what he described as a “Black Utopia.” What began as an alternative lifestyle movement in the tropics became a disturbing story of coercion, manipulation and violence, ending with his 2024 trial and life sentence.

Descendants: Wicked Wonderland

Streaming from Friday, 17th July 2026

Red and Chloe return for a new Descendants movie, but their earlier victory has consequences. After changing history by preventing the Queen of Hearts from becoming a villain and saving Cinderella, everything seems to be going perfectly until Red’s former friend Maddox Hatter emerges as a new threat. When Maddox captures the Queen of Hearts, Red and Chloe must travel back through the rabbit hole and team up with Red’s new sister Pink, Luisa Madrigal’s son Luis, and a villainous crew led by Maddox’s son Max to save the Queen and all of Wonderland.

Meanwhile, Bobby navigates old friendships and the stresses of life as an entrepreneur. In other words, propane, responsibility and quiet panic are back on the menu.

Pompeii: Out of Time with Tom Hiddleston

All episodes streaming from Thursday, 23rd July 2026

Host Tom Hiddleston reunites with Loki executive producer Kevin R. Wright for this National Geographic series, which blends cinematic scripted drama with investigative documentary storytelling. Guided by archaeologists, historians, geologists and disaster experts, Hiddleston explores ancient Rome in the hours before and during the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. Rather than presenting Pompeii purely as a story of destruction, the series focuses on resilience, sacrifice and survival, uncovering evidence that challenges long-held assumptions about the city’s final hours and the choices faced by those caught in the shadow of the volcano.

Furious

3-episode launch from Monday, 27th July 2026

From creator and executive producer Elizabeth Meriwether, Furious stars Emmy Rossum as FBI agent Alice Black, who is hunting a mysterious and calculating female serial killer. A cat-and-mouse thriller with moral ambiguity baked in, which is exactly where these things tend to get interesting.
