Filming has commenced on the third and final series of ‘Am I Being Unreasonable?’, as Daisy May Cooper and Selin Hizli return to wrap up their brilliantly twisted comedy thriller for BBC iPlayer and BBC One later this year.
Written by Cooper and Hizli, the award-winning series sees the pair reprise their roles as Nic and Jen, alongside Lenny Rush as Ollie, for which he won a BAFTA, and Dustin Demri-Burns as Dan, a man still putting in a very strong bid for the title of world’s worst husband.
Filmed in Bristol, Gloucestershire and the West Country, the final series picks up where series two left us, with a lot of very awkward questions still hanging in the air. Is Nic’s confession finally out there? What exactly did Jen do to Mrs Baggot? Has Dan put a bun in the wrong oven? Did Ollie make Suzie go away? In this murky morality tale, everyone is forced to confront their messy realities once and for all.
“We’re never sure who knows what in this brilliantly complex series,” teases the BBC, “but amongst the increasingly tangled web of lies and blurred boundaries, are hilarious set-pieces from the colourful comic characters who live in the village of Copbury.”
Amanda Wilkin returns as Suzie, with Tom Davies (King Gary, Wonka) also back as the unhinged cab driver. The final run will also feature guest appearances from Joe Wilkinson (After Life, Him & Her), Allan Mustafa (People Just Do Nothing) and James Gault (Cry Babies).
“Being back on set together feels bittersweet knowing this is our last hurrah, but we’re loving every minute of it. It’s the best job in the world getting to work with your best mate and we’ve got the most amazing team working their hardest to make sure Am I Being Unreasonable? goes out with a big, glorious bang. We can’t wait for everyone to see it!” said Daisy May Cooper and Selin Hizli.
The six-part final series is produced by Boffola Pictures for BBC iPlayer and BBC One. The producer is Ali Marlow, with Emily McDonald directing. The executive producers are Shane Allen, Daisy May Cooper and Selin Hizli, with Emma Lawson and Roya Eslami serving as commissioning editors for the BBC. BBC Studios, which has a minority investment stake in Boffola Pictures, is handling global sales.
The series will also premiere internationally on Hulu in the USA, SBS in Australia and TVNZ in New Zealand.
‘Am I Being Unreasonable?’ Season 3 premieres later this year on BBC iPlayer and BBC One. If I want to keep track of this or any other shows, I can add them via our Never Miss system, and I’ll be notified when it gets a UK premiere date. Visit Never Miss.
