It may have been cancelled after one season, but UK Suits fans who were curious about the short-lived spin-off will finally get the chance to judge it for themselves, as ‘Suits LA’ arrives on Channel 4 streaming this July.
Set in the same universe as the hugely popular legal drama ‘Suits’, the series shifts the action from New York to Los Angeles, following Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor who has reinvented himself as a high-powered lawyer representing some of the biggest names in the City of Angels. However, when his firm hits a crisis point, Ted is forced to embrace a side of the law he has spent most of his career looking down on.
The spin-off stars Stephen Amell (Arrow, Heels) as Ted Black, alongside Lex Scott Davis (The First Purge) as Erica Rollins, Josh McDermitt (The Walking Dead) as Stuart Lane, and Bryan Greenberg (One Tree Hill) as Rick Dodsen. The cast also includes Maggie Grace (Lost), Troy Winbush (The Wilds), Alice Lee (Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist), and Victoria Justice (Victorious).
For fans of the original series, there is also some connective tissue back to the mothership, with Gabriel Macht (Suits) reprising his role as Harvey Specter, and Rick Hoffman (Suits) also popping up as Louis Litt.
Created by original ‘Suits’ creator Aaron Korsh, ‘Suits LA’ launched in the US on NBC in February 2025, following the huge resurgence of the original series on streaming. However, despite the brand recognition, the spin-off failed to find enough of an audience, and NBC cancelled the drama after its 13-episode first season.
That does mean this is very much a one-and-done arrival, rather than the start of a new long-running franchise. Still, given how many people discovered or rediscovered ‘Suits’ in recent years, there will likely be a fair few UK viewers interested in seeing what the Los Angeles branch of the franchise had to offer.
‘Suits LA’ Season 1 premieres Wednesday, 1st July 2026 on Channel 4 streaming.
