FX and Disney have released the trailer for Season 2 of ‘Adults’, sending its gloriously messy group of twentysomethings back into the minefield of friendships, relationships, jobs, and generally attempting to behave like functioning human beings. The comedy returns to Disney+ in the UK this August, following its US launch on FXX and Hulu.
The core five are all back, with Malik Elassal (Resident Alien) as Samir, Lucy Freyer (Paint) as Billie, Jack Innanen (Big Mistakes) as Paul Baker, Amita Rao (Deli Boys) as Issa, and Owen Thiele (Overcompensating) as Anton. Once again, they are all living together in Samir’s childhood home in New York and attempting to navigate adulthood with varying degrees of success.
Season 2 of ‘Adults’ throws a fresh collection of painfully relatable problems at the group. What happens when the kid who inherited your fake ID turns out to be cooler than you ever were? What if you discover you actually like your boring office job? Why does spending time with your family instantly turn you back into the worst version of your teenage self?
Naturally, rather than simply talking about any of these issues like sensible adults, the friends construct increasingly elaborate plans designed to avoid hurting anyone’s feelings or having an awkward conversation. If adulthood is mostly inventing complicated systems to avoid dealing with fairly straightforward problems, these five appear to be absolutely smashing it.
The new trailer also offers a first look at some of the guest stars dropping into their lives this season, including Gaten Matarazzo (Stranger Things), Jake Shane (Therapuss), and Zosia Mamet (The Flight Attendant). They will be joined across the season by Susie Essman (Curb Your Enthusiasm), Raven-Symoné (That’s So Raven), Isaac Powell (American Horror Story: NYC) and Ben Marshall (Saturday Night Live), alongside more guest appearances.
The eight-episode comedy was created by Ben Kronengold and Rebecca Shaw, who executive produce alongside Nick Kroll, Sarah Naftalis, Jonathan Krisel, Alicia Van Couvering and Rob Rosell. FX Productions produces the series.
‘Adults’ Season 2 premieres Friday, 28th August 2026 on Disney+ in the UK. The series premieres Thursday, 27th August 2026 on FXX and Hulu in the USA.
