Sky has released the official trailer for ‘WAR‘, its new high-stakes legal drama starring Dominic West (The Crown, The Wire) and Sienna Miller (Anatomy of a Scandal, American Sniper), ahead of the series launching this October on Sky and NOW.

Created by George Kay (Lupin, Hijack), the eight-part drama drops us into the highly competitive world of two of London’s most prestigious rival law firms, Cathcarts & Sons and Taylor & Byrne, as they go head-to-head over a very public and potentially very messy divorce.

At the centre of ‘WAR’ are British tech entrepreneur Morgan Henderson, played by Dominic West (The Crown, The Wire), and international film star Carla Duval, played by Sienna Miller (Anatomy of a Scandal, American Sniper). Their explosive separation becomes the battleground for the two firms, both of which are prepared to do whatever it takes to secure victory for their client.

Caught in the middle is ambitious young lawyer Jonathan “Johnny” Warren, played by Archie Renaux (Alien: Romulus, Upgraded), who is pulled into a world where ambition is currency, betrayal is strategy and winning is everything.

On the Taylor & Byrne side are Phoebe Fox (The Great, The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death) as Serena Byrne and James McArdle (Mare of Easttown, Andor) as Nicholas Taylor, who are partners both professionally and personally.

Facing them across the legal battlefield are Cathcarts & Sons’ Beatrice “Queen Bea” Ubosi, played by Nina Sosanya (Good Omens, His Dark Materials), and St John Smallwood, played by Pip Torrens (The Crown, Preacher).

The wider ensemble includes Celia Imrie (The Diplomat, Better Things), Nick Mohammed (Ted Lasso, Intelligence), Emma Laird (Mayor of Kingstown, A Haunting in Venice), Archie Panjabi (The Good Wife, Snowpiercer), Adrian Scarborough (The Chelsea Detective, Killing Eve), Honor Swinton Byrne (The Souvenir) and Miles Jupp (Rev., The Thick of It), alongside Aran Murphy, Shaheen Jafargholi, Akiya Henry, Kartanya Maynard, Alexandra Mardell, Dylan Edwards, Mark Quartley and Steve Furst.

Interestingly, Sky has already handed ‘WAR’ a two-series order, so this opening divorce case is only the beginning of Kay’s legal world. Series one consists of eight episodes, which will air weekly on Sky and stream via NOW.
