Rutshire is getting ready to throw open its doors again, and judging by the new trailer, nobody has used the break to calm down. The second half of ‘Rivals‘ Season 2 arrives on Disney+ in November with three episodes on its return.
The story picks up after the mid-series finale, with Tony Baddingham and Declan O’Hara’s battle for the Cotswolds crown reaching fever pitch. Rupert Campbell-Black has personal demons to face, while Taggie O’Hara must decide whether to follow her heart as the franchise war pulls everyone around her into its orbit.
There’s plenty more Rutshire excess on the way, including Bonfire Night chaos, the Hampshire Hunt Ball and a turbulent Christmas. Affairs unravel, alliances fracture and secrets become harder to keep. It sounds as though the final six episodes will give everyone a chance to make one more spectacularly bad decision.
David Tennant (Doctor Who) returns as Tony, alongside Aidan Turner (Poldark) as Declan, Alex Hassell (The Boys) as Rupert and Bella Maclean (Sex Education) as Taggie. The returning cast also includes Nafessa Williams (Black Lightning), Katherine Parkinson (Humans) and Danny Dyer (EastEnders).
Joining them are Rachael Stirling (Detectorists) as Lady Monica Baddingham’s younger sister Araminta Pemberton, Rupert Evans (The Man in the High Castle) as headmaster David Hawkley, and Santiago Cabrera (Star Trek: Picard) as polo player Alejandro Mendoza. Hayley Atwell (Agent Carter) and Rupert Everett (My Policeman) also return as guest stars.
If you’re already wondering how much trouble Rutshire can possibly sustain, Disney+ has ordered a third series of 12 episodes. In the meantime, Season 1 and the first six episodes of Season 2 are available to stream now.
The second half of ‘Rivals‘ Season 2 premieres Wednesday, 11th November 2026 on Disney+ in the UK and Hulu in the US.
