Couple of Notes on Commenting…
TIPS FOR POSTING It is always extremely helpful when people post dates, times and information below. It is useful in keeping the list as current as possible and makes for a great community spirit. But when posting, please remember the following:
1) Use full programme titles. As instantly recognisable as abbreviations may be to someone who watches that show, to someone who doesn’t, it is just a meaningless collection of letters that have to be looked up.
2) If a bit of information is a rumour, please say so – we can list it as such, pending confirmation.
3) If something comes from a reputable source, please quote that source, so we all know it is not just a rumour.
Thank you.

Doctor Who 2026 Christmas special officially cancelled as BBC announces plans for future of beloved franchise.
https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/sci-fi/doctor-who-2026-christmas-special-cancelled-future-newsupdate/
Bit of an explainer for what all this means for Doctor Who – https://www.geektown.co.uk/2026/06/10/doctor-who-future-explained-christmas-special-scrapped-rtd-exits-bbc-opens-show-to-tender-and-what-that-means/
Not surprised at all it be cancelled thay made the show too woke all the decent storyline Dr who had gone ages ago Russel t Davis should never be allowed near sci-fi TV shows again
I have a solution for Doctor Who. Get Big Finish to take over the show.
Well… As I mention in the article, Big Finish do now have a connection to a TV production company specialising in genre tv… So that isn’t impossible…
Given that Big FInish have done some really good Doctor Who stories, I’d love to see what they can do for the TV series.
Yeah. I mean, if anyone understands Doctor Who, it’s Big Finish, so I’d love to see them take it over.
I also have a good choice for the next Doctor. Bring back Paul McGann.
I think Big Finish would revitalise Doctor Who and make it even better.
Doctor Who Xmas special officially scrapped
Doctor Who is in serious trouble as Russell T. Davies and Bad Wolf are pulling out of Doctor Who.
I’m not sure whether i’d say pulling out or being fired to be honest… It’s not the ideal situation given where it was left in terms of plot, but I think putting it out to tender is not a bad idea. https://www.geektown.co.uk/2026/06/10/doctor-who-future-explained-christmas-special-scrapped-rtd-exits-bbc-opens-show-to-tender-and-what-that-means/
6 part Italian crime drama series Rosa Elettrica starts Tuesday 16th June 2026 at 2am (repeated at 9pm) on sky Atlantic. Information from the sky q TV guide.
Is there still no word on Sky picking up Sheriff Country?
The crossover with Fire Country would look ridiculous without the spinoff
Won’t know either way until Thursday whether they are airing it or not.
I would be surprised if they didn’t considering they have partially showed it in Italy since February
https://youtu.be/o_HFgt4TyS0?si=jXaMusKUfRz_n32g
If they haven’t, they might aswell not bother airing episodel 13 otherwise as that is the 2nd part of crossover, 1st part is on Sheriff Country, especially in this case.
The plot thickens
Fire Country is in current week 27 highlights but with no actual day , date or time just says “Coming soon”
Which is very strange
Although does explain why it doesn’t appear in Now June instagram post
Guess it won’t become clear until next Wednesday
loosely inspired by the movie Black Widow, serial killer drama Furious has been confirmed for 27th July on Hulu and Disney+ Internationally
Any news on when we will be getting Wild Cards season 3
No news yet
At the time, Paramount+ UK/5 only acquired season 1 and 2

Thank you
A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder is ending with an already-filmed four-episode third season. https://deadline.com/2026/06/a-good-girls-guide-end-renewed-season-3-final-netflix-1236951313/
Has any heard or had contact with Sky about the Chicagos. It’s absolutely ridiculous that we have had to wait this long for it to return. At this rate we’ll be a year behind America.
Yep “coming this year” is the best I can get… I rather suspect they’re holding it to fill a gap in the late Summer schedule, like they have done in the past with some of the L&O series… Which would be frustrating enough if it were the whole season, but to do it with half a season is deranged scheduling behaviour…
Last time I got was “this summer” and a “we hear you” for their dire scheduling of the Chicagos.
Whilst I get putting a mini break in the season, to then leave it around 7 months is beyond insane.
What is taking the place of The Rookie when season 8 ends next week?
By the looks of it Fire Country at least is going on Tuesdays from 30th June , not Wednesdays like all previous seasons , only Sky what to watch and sky.com pages say this date , Now June Instagram page doesn’t mention it at all….
Wednesday in July are TBA….Thursday 9pm is also available from 9th July
Elsbeth isn’t in their July highlights so isn’t that…..
If Fire Country is on the 30th, what’s on the 23rd since it won’t be The Rookie?
Just repeats

SWAT: Exiles does now have Canadian broadcaster in CTV (Bell Media) but still not a US one which is a bit strange
https://www.bellmedia.ca/the-lede/press/2026-2027-bell-media-upfront-acquisitions-ctv-and-crave/
Anyone know if the rest of The Twelve: Cape Rock will be aired on UTV / ITV?
2 episodes shown last week.
Though, I think they did the same thing with Savage River. 2 episodes and that was it. (yeah its probably on ITVX but I hate them showing 2 episodes and just disappearing the show).
You are probably better off watching them on itvx at the moment to be honest as the football world cup is due to start and is seriously going to mess with schedules and programming
This Radio Times article only mentions the first two episodes being broadcast, so it looks like ITVX is the only way to continue.
https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/drama/the-twelve-season-3-cape-rock-killer-release-date/
*sigh*
Guess I just need to keep an eye on RTE then. Can’t be too long before they broadcast it. *fingers crossed* I haven’t missed it!
It would be nice if they said they were only going to broadcast 2 episodes. Grr
TG4 have already aired all 8 episodes of The Twelve: Cape Rock Killer between mid march and mid May and all 8 episodes left the tg4 player last Saturday.
damn!
I think I might have thought that was a repeat. Don’t think it said Cape Rock in the RTE Guide. :-(
I can’t wait for ITV to be sold to Sky the way ITV is run right it’s like a bunch of amateurs are running the channels Carolyn McCall and Kevin Lygo and their have got to go they’ve made the channel and the app unwatchable. I haven’t watched anything on ITV1 since 2018. With the sale to Comcast Sky my hope is that they will remove all the garbage they have on the channel and redesign the programme schules make better shows and make the channels less rubbish and more award winning that could rival the BBC, Channel 4, Channel 5 and even Sky and the apps. ITV in its current form needs to change or face closure.
By selling itv to Comcast will be extremely bad for the UK Comcast have made a complete mess of sky since buying that so buying itv is not going to be any better for itv all Comcast are interested in is dick wolf drama’s or sport that commission new shows only to cancel them after 1 or 2 seasons somewhere other company like Disney would be a better fit for itv
NBC youngest returning drama will be in Season 12, something has gone there.
Compare this to CBS, ABC and FOX
Whether that’s the high rating Sheriff Country , Elsbeth, Matlock, Doc ,Tracker, Will Trent or High Potential for example.
Any new buyer for ITV is better than the current leadership team they have right now seriously who watches ITV1 nowadays the channel is a load of rubbish cheap rubbish cheap quiz shows. ITV needs to change and desperately needs new leadership and new shows.
I wouldn’t say that ITV is rubbish, they have shown some decent Dramas this year. I agree with you about the Abundance of quiz shows and how poor most of them are. We all could list various channels and like/dislike what they show, if you don’t like ITV then don’t watch it.
Rivals S2 won’t be back on Disney+ until November: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wPyxxygYY0Q
The BBC Press Office on X has confirmed that Schitt’s Creek is coming to BBC Iplayer from 6th June.
FYI. I have seen on my Netflix coming soon, it’s showing that Sullivans Crossing season 4 is starting on 30 June 2026 in the UK.
Lioness Season 3 starring Zoe Zaldana and Nicole Kidman starts on 2nd August 2026 on Paramount+.

This is such sad news. Anthony Head has passed away, aged 72. It’s been a rough year for Buffy fans…
https://www.geektown.co.uk/2026/06/05/anthony-head-beloved-buffy-merlin-doctor-who-star-dies-aged-72/
Yes, just read that. Same age as me.
I was once catching a train at Bath station and saw him on the platform. I was too shy to talk to him.
Just thought I would give a heads up for you guys if I’m late to the party I’m sorry but I went on to sky a few minutes ago and FROM has turned up for series 4 in UHD for anyone with access
and in UHD, FROM will have no commercials.
Never get commercials when watching anything from sky on demand even in HD on virgin
It’s not true that Sky On Demand has no commercials. Some programs have no commercials and some do. Some have commercials before the show starts and none during and some have both before and during.
You don’t get them on virgin from on demand not sure if you are on sky you do on other channels like alibi itvx ect but for some reason over the last 6 months or so anything I watch from sky channels there are no adverts when you watch anything on demand might be dependent on package
I’m on Sky Q and you do get commercials with some On Demand. You don’t get commercials with UHD. itvX is not Sky. It’s an ITV streaming service and you can get no commercials if you pay not to have commercials.
Can you list what you’ve watched from Sky On Demand?
That’s difference your on sky Q Iam on virgin media two different formats on what thay probably offer and do
Swat, FBI, house of dragon ponies and lots more
So FROM season 4 in HD has adverts on Sky ?
On Virgin there is no adverts in either HD or UHD , so don’t need to fast forward them.
That’s correct Martin same for all shows I watch from sky on demand or 5od no adverts at all
But if I want to watch brokenwood mysterys or anything from UKTV it takes me to the U app and have to grim and bare adverts same with 4od or itvx
But have work around itvx as paid for premium when they was a offer on for half price for year
That’s wrong. FROM in HD from Sky On Demand does have some commercials. About 4 minutes worth. in the first episode. So yes, Sky On Demand can have commercials. None in UHD. Some don’t have commercials. But some do.
Jon you keep stating that’s wrong but you have said that is sky Q as I’ve clearly said Iam on virgin media not sky so there on demand from sky probably work differently Ive been getting no commercials from anything from sky on demand for quite a while now in HD
The Traitors US Series 4 starts on 18th June 2026 on BBC THREE & BBC iPlayer.
Info from Digitalspy.com
FBI has 4 weeks left
I really hope Sky picks up Sheriff Country. It is so good.
Will know officially if Sky have on 11th June
I hope so. Sheriff Country is very good. It’s not a crime/murder of the week type show.
I will be surprised if they haven’t already considering the change in day to a Tuesday and reference to a “double episode” aswell as acquiring it in Italy where 9 episodes have aired with 10 to 20 in later in the year, was only announced 19 days in advance.
The problem I see is that if Sheriff Country has been picked up, Sky should hold off on Fire Country until they are caught up or do double episodes until it’s cause up. Otherwise the crossover won’t align.
If it’s already picked up (e.g last October) , it airs on 30th June or 1st July
My view does not acquire US network series 3 to 4 weeks in advance, they simply choose not to announce them publicly like they used to for series that aren’t going to air for months even though they have already premiered.
Didn’t The first episode of Sheriff Country air after Fire Country in the US and then they switched from episode 2 onwards.
That’s another thing to consider
Never even seen fire counnty probably because it’s the idea of him from seal team being in it that’s so off putting to me
Your loss. Fire Country is quite good.
The Hunting Party has been axed after 2 Seasons by NBC and Been Shopped Elsewhere. Fingers cross Netflix does the right thing.
Info from Deadline.com
Another show I’ve invested in only to get cancelled. I really hope Netflix buy it and give it an ending like they did with Manifest. It’s so frustrating because the ratings for Peacock were supposed to be higher than the network so don’t get what’s happened.
Typical of NBC, peacock, Comcast companys start a show with promise only to cancel it this is why I hope Comcast don’t get to buy itv just look at the mess with sky uk
NBC record for developing new shows has gone
Snowfall FX spin off “The Drop: A Snowfall Saga” confirmed as coming to Disney+ Internationally later this year
Season 4 of Sullivan’s Crossing starts on 30th June 2026 on Netflix UK & Ireland.
Info from The Coming Soon Section of The Netflix UK & Ireland Official App.
Fire Country listed here as 30th June (first time on a Tuesday, always previously on a Wednesday), doesn’t say at what time…
https://www.sky.com/watch/what-to-watch
https://www.sky.com/watch/fire-country
Mentions double episode which i assume is referring to the crossover , but still no mention of Sheriff Country not that I would expect it on this page or its 1st July..presume they would switch around for 1 week because of the crossover
I think it’s taking The Rookies time slot as that finishes in the next few weeks. Matlock is on a Wednesday so that’s probably another reason why it’s on a Tuesday.
So does Matlock , that finishes 1 week later on 24th June, it’s only 16 episodes rather than 20 episodes
If Sheriff Country has been picked up , i’d imagine at least Boston Blue has aswell
Matlock ends in 3 weeks. The Rookie ends in 2 weeks.
The Time Slot of Best Medicine which premieres on Sky One on Tuesday June 9th will premiere with a Double Bill at 2am and repeated by 8pm the same day
Info from Latest Issue of Radio Times
The 3rd and Final Season of NCIS Hawaii will recieve it’s UKTV Premiere on 5USA on Monday June 8th at 9pm
Info from Latest Issue of Radio Times
Hmm, some of us got a bit excited when NCIS appeared in the ‘New Seasons Coming Soon’ tab on the Disney+ app. Not to put a dampener on it, but I’ve just noticed that Ahsoka and High Potential are in the same tab, and we know neither of them are coming until 2027!
Season 3 of Big Little Lies is definetly happening according to Actress Shailene Woodley.
Info from Deadline.com
So as of now Sheriff County has still not been bought by a uk network so there’s gonna be no point in watching the Fire County episode. We are definitely still behind counties like Canada when it comes to shows starting. Just look at the Chicagos mess. I’m going off Sky. Think there needs to be a reshuffle on who decides to buy these shows and when. Matlock is another example. There was no need on the big gap. Come on Sky. You need to do better.
Sorry meant to say there’s no point in watching the Fire/County crossover episode.
Not announced doesn’t mean Not bought especially when it comes to Sky and CBS Studios series nowadays and not just those.
Sky actually specifically referenced in brackets “special guest star from the upcoming Fire Country Spin off Sheriff Country” in one of weekly highlights last November, why do that otherwise ?
One way or another will know if Sky has the rights or not when there weekly highlights 16+ days ahead are released either on 4th or 11th June
Just seen the Now June instrgram and Fire Country isn’t even mentioned in it so suggests they haven’t settled on a date yet.
Guess we will find if Sheriff Country, Boston Blue and CIA are part of 1 deal/announcement…
Isn’t it called country
Isn’t it called fire country
From upcoming section on ITVX
Daisy Jones and The Six is added on 7th June followed by 1st season of Citadel on 14th June
1st season of King Of The Hill revival is on taste of Disney+ on ITVX from 3rd June (for 2 months)
When will s4 of Professor T finally arrive on ITV – another mystery to go with s23 of NCIS ☹️ At least Disney + giving encouragement
Just said “coming soon” in latest ITV 2026 brochure
Ben Miller was recently on the One show and he said Professor T was coming later in the year!
Why is ITV buying Amazon Prime shows now. This whole a taste of is doing my head in. Looks like your getting new stuff but your only getting bits from both Disney and ITVX. Don’t see the point.
Ad revenue?
Seasons 2 of Lioness and Star Trek Strange New Worlds from Paramount are also “coming soon”
The Rainmaker from Lionsgate is one UK Premiere (all 4 seasons of Family Law are on Lionsgate+), although i think may end up getting added to Lionsgate+ before too long.
I think the deals make sense. Not everyone has every streamer. ITVX gives a free sample from a bunch of streamers. They get more content. The original streamer might pick up some subs due to people watching Season one of something and wanting to watch the newer seasons. It seems like pretty good marketing.
What doesn’t make sense is ITV buying shows such as DMV that were cancelled after one season because it was so bad. I watched two episodes and that was it. It’s a terrible show.
Package deal ?
Harlan Coben’s Final Twist was another they acquired from Paramount Global Content Distribution
Little Disasters originally aired on Paramount+ last May is on 5 from 14th June
