ITV2 Picks Up US Sci-fi Comedy Series ‘Ghosted’

by Dave Elliott

ITV2 announced today that it has secured exclusive broadcast rights to 20th Century Fox Television’s live-action comedy Ghosted, coming late October to the channel.

Starring Adam Scott (‘Big Little Lies’, ‘Parks and Recreation’, ‘Hot Tub Time Machine’) and Craig Robinson (‘The Office US’, ‘Hot Tub Time Machine’, ‘This Is The End’), Ghosted is a single-camera, live-action comedy about the partnership between two polar opposites: cynical sceptic (Robinson), and genius “true believer” in the paranormal (Scott), who are recruited by a secret government agency to look into the rampant “unexplained” activity in Los Angeles – all while uncovering a larger mystery that could threaten the existence of the human race.

“Ghosted’s high concept premise hits the mark thanks to the smart writing and its talented cast,” comments Sasha Breslau, ITV Head of Acquired Series. “Adam Scott and Craig Robinson have great chemistry, with our own Adeel Akhtar rounding out a strong ensemble. It is a very welcome addition to ITV2’s stable of standout comedy on the channel.”

Also starring Ally Walker (‘Colony’, ‘Sons of Anarchy’), Adeel Akhtar (‘Unforgotten’, ‘The Night Manager’) and Amber Stevens West (‘The Carmichael Show’, ’22 Jump Street’), this heroic group of underdogs will look into unexplained activity in Los Angeles, as they attempt to uncover the truth and keep the Earth rotating on its axis for at least one more day.

Ghosted‘ is currently scheduled to air on w/c 30th October 2017. Provisional air date is set for Monday, 30th October at 9.30pm on ITV2, but be aware, that’s not a 100% confirmed air date/time yet, so may move.
