Kid Flash To Join ‘Legends Of Tomorrow’ Full Time

When we left the DC shows before Christmas, Legends Of Tomorrow had a couple of free seats on the Waverider following the events of the ‘Crisis On Earth X’ crossover. We already knew one of them would be taken up with an established DC character. Now we know which one… Keiynan Lonsdale’s Kid Flash.

“We loved working with Keiynan in our series premiere,” commented executive producer Phil Klemmer. “So when his character stepped away from Flash to go on walkabout, after being dumped and feeling somewhat estranged from his family and team, we knew that Wally West would fit in perfectly on Legends.”

Klemmer has a point. Kid Flash, aka Wally West, has been rather underused this season on ‘The Flash’, so he’s a perfect candidate for Legends. It makes sense for the character arc too, to see him step out with a new group and find his place in the world away from Team Flash.

“After all, our show is about a collection of unlikely heroes who all began their journeys questioning who they are and where they belong – only to find those answers while travelling through time and having wacky adventures,” continues Klemmer. “So now, Wally West is not only back in the company of old friends from the Arrowverse, he’s fighting alongside a former enemy and career arsonist Mick Rory/Dom Purcell. By the end of this season, Wally will learn that the Legends have a different definition of what it means to be a hero.”

So that leaves one other seat left to fill on the Legend’s timeship. They could bring in a completely new character, but there are some obvious choices in the existing Arrowverse line up. Speedy aka Thea Queen (Willa Holland) is one possibility, as is Arsenal, aka Roy Harper (Colton Haynes). Although, I think the character a lot of fans would like to see return for a longer stint is Matt Ryan’s  Constantine, who pops up in a guest spot this season.

Keiynan Lonsdale will join Legends Of Tomorrow from episode 11 this season. We may have to wait a bit longer to see who takes the 2nd free Waverider seat.

We don’t yet have exact return dates for any of the DC shows on Sky 1, although they will turn up in Feb/March 2018. Keep your eyes on the UK Air Dates page for the latest info!
